I just bought the Sony DVD92 which uses the mini dvd's to record on. The sales rep told me I did not have to transfer anything before viewing, I could just pop the mini DVD into any player that would play burned DVD's and see my movie right away. She said any player that wasn't over 3 years old would work. Is anyone familiar with this model and if so, tell me all you can about it. I haven't opened it yet, just in case I got the wrong thing. Is there any model out there that records onto regular size DVD's?

I do not have your specific model, but I do have a mini-dvd camcorder. I love it very much :goodvibes: The little mini-dvds do play just fine in our new dvd player but in our older one (much older than 3 years) they don't so I have to hook up the camcorder to that tv, but that's actually not a big deal.

I have never seen or heard of a camcorder that uses full-sized dvds. Go ahead and open yours and play with it. They're going to charge you a restocking fee to return it anyway (I would guess) but hopefully you'll be happy and won't need to return it.

I'm pretty sure the dvds will also play on your computer if you have a dvd player on it (which we don't, oh well...)

Laurie :)
