Cambria questions for those who have stayed

I am finding comparison threads for Cambria but I have some specific questions and changing hotels isn't an option at this time. I emailed Cambia but didn't hear back which makes me nervous for their communication. Also full disclosure, I feel like I asked one of these questions already on here but can't find it. 😆 if I did just gently guide me to that thread.

Can we have groceries delivered and not be there? We won't have alcohol delivered if that helps. We just need some water and basic snacks.

Are the rooms normally ready by 4? Anyone have negative experience with that? We will get to the hotel about 4 barring any delays. We'd like to dump our stuff in the room and shuttle over to DTD for dinner.

I think I've seen it mentioned that they charge for the water park but I can't find anywhere stating that officially. Any experience with that?

I'm always nervous to try new hotels but it worked best for our large group.

I would call the hotel and ask. When we stayed we had excellent customer service. Have a great trip!

Haha. Calling is my kryptonite. I am the kind of person who moves making a phone call off my to do list over and over again, even simple phone calls. Text, email, memo, even written letter I'm fine with. Looks like I have to put my big girl pants on. 😂😂

Side question since you stayed there. Did you walk to the Toy Story lot to use those shuttles? If so how was it?

I get that! I’m the same way sometimes.

Yes. We walked to Toy Story lot and used the shuttles there. Super easy and saved our feet. They have the security check until 11am at Toy Story lot, so that was awesome as well. We walked one time all the way to the parks and it was pretty far. So we just used Toy Story shuttles after that.

I believe when you book, it should tell you if you have water park access or not. When we booked, you could only get the two queen room for cheaper because it did not include water park access. I’m not sure if they do the same thing now, as it has almost been a year since we stayed.

They did however, have a resort fee and a parking fee. Not sure if you will have a car.

We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again. We liked that there are lots of food options in the same parking lot. Jersey mikes is a favorite and of course, having a Starbucks was nice too.

Have a great trip!!

I agree with Crystal. We haven't stayed there yet, but we have a reservation in October, and my mom called this week with questions and said she got immediate helpful answers to all of her questions. Unfortunately she didn't have the same questions as you.

I have to report back because it was kind of funny when I called. They answered and I could hear a conversation wrapping up between a few people. I stayed on for a few because I figured they would be on in a second. They hung up. 😆😆 I waited a few hours and called back. I feel like I need a badge because I made two phone calls today.

They were, of course, super nice and said we don't need to be there for grocery delivery. I am super happy about that.

I forgot to ask if our rooms have theme park access. I'll check our reservation and see if it specifies.

I'm so excited that there is a Starbucks in the parking lot. I love a morning coffee but won't wait the hour in the park. I'm not sure if we'll be able to hit up the breakfast at the hotel because I'll want to bomb over to the parks first thing.

We won’t wait in the Starbucks line at the parks either. We either grab something off site, or hit up rope drop and then around 10ish do a mobile order at Starbucks in downtown Disney. Or we do a mobile order at jolly holiday or the cappuccino cart for coffee. We need our caffeine! Lol. We normally drink tea, but on Disney trips we drink coffee. Haha.

That’s awesome you don’t have to be there for groceries. We absolutely loved having a full size fridge and freezer in our room.

Whoa what?? Is that in each room? I didn't do a ton of research before booking. We are going with a family of 6 and didn't book as early as I normally do, we had our pick of about 4 hotels is all. A full size fridge would be so cool.
