Calling to upgrade to MK view at Poly?

We will be heading to disney in about 3 weeks. It will be my dad's 53rd birthday on the Monday we check in (5/19). My younger sister has also invited her friend to come and it will be her birthday as well while we are there. I'm not staying with them, but I was wondering what the probablility is that if I call the Poly directly and told them of the situation and asked them to upgrade him to the MK view, what would be my chances that they could do that for me? He has stayed at the Poly over 15 times and he absolutly loves the MK view. I wondered if I told them that too if that could help. He has a garden view right now, but this is the first time we will be there for his birthday and I want it to be a special trip for him.

If you are talking about paying to upgrade his reservation that could only happen if the Magic Kingdom view is available.

If you are asking about a free upgrade based on all his stays there, WDW does not give free upgrades based on things like that. A free upgrade is a totally random thing when it happens and it comes up on the computer when the Cast Member is checking the guest in.
