Hey Steve, I was wondering if you had access to any e-mail addresses for poly mgrs. I'm trying to find out if there are any plans to update the poly with high-speed internet access. We stayed there for the 1st time this past Jan and loved it. The problem is my DH runs an internet business and needs to use his laptop each day for e-mail, etc. and dial-up is painfully slow for him. We planning for next Jan. Thanks for any help!

Wampy, SOMEWHERE I saw the "calendar" for the plans for the resorts. It surprised me that OKW (often thought of as a Mecca for old-timers) was one of the first to get worked on. Sure enough, when we visited last week, Poly had NO connection and OKW was up and running when we moved into our room there. My hubby was also frustrated as he guessed the deluxe rooms would have access.

FYI, when it IS up and running, you are charged $10 per 24 hour period. My hubby had a bit of trouble accessing it one day and we were only charged for the next day when it went smoothly. It was cool being able to read these Boards from OKW!

Hope you have some luck with the schedule. I think the calendar I saw might be on Allears.net.

Thanks Coleen! I have seen that calendar, it only includes the convention hotels (I didn't know about OKW). I was hoping Tikiman might have some inside info or the right contact for me to inquire.

as of now there are only plans to have it in the convention and DVC resorts.

I wish I had better news for you but for now there are no plans. From what I know it is not a decision of the Polynesian Manager (although he can push for it like he is for a hot tub) but it is a decision made by WDW resort management who control all the resorts.

Also there is no “public” email available for the manager other than his personal email which most staff members have. It is usually their name @…..well I should not post that here. You can write to the Polynesian and put ATTN: General Manager and he will get it.
