I grew up in Mansfield.. I graduated from Mansfield High :thumbsup2 .. We moved to Mansfield from Connecticut when I was 6.. I have been in Texas ever since.. I am now 35, going on 36  My parents still live in Mansfield so I go there all the time..

I moved to Bedford, which is minutes from the DFW airport (for anyone who doesnt know where that is) about 4 1/2 yrs ago when I met my boyfriend.. I now live here and work closeby.. My kids love the schools they are in so we will stay here until who knows when.. but their dad lives in Mansfield so we will stay for now.. My dream is when my children get older to move to Florida or some caribbean island :rotfl2:

You Know You're A Texan When...

You end alot of words without the letter "g".

You think 70 degrees is chilly.

You think 90 degrees is a little warm.

You've always wondered what it would be like to have a White Christmas.

You break a sweat when you first step outside at 7:30 in the morning.

You measure distance in minutes.

Your school was cancelled due to cold weather.

You think of going to Wal-Mart as something fun to do.

You think at the first sign of cool weather that it's good chili weather.

You always make room at the dinner table for one more.

You have at least one kinfolk named Bubba or Bo.

You'd stay at home if it snows.

You not only "Remember the Alamo!", but you "Remember Goliad!", too.

You think the four basic food groups are faj itas, nachos, barbecue, and hamburgers.

You have company, and you offer them something to eat or drink, and even if they say no, you get them something anyways.

You think the four seasons are Almost Summer, Summer, Still Summer, & Deer Season.

You use the air conditioner and the heater in the same day.

You put peanuts in your Coke.

You call every soft drink a Coke.

You use "y'all" & "fixinto" as a part of your everyday vocabulary.

You use words like "gonna", "lotsa", "kinda", & "sorta" .

You call San Antonio - San Antone.

You say uh-huh, which means yes.

You call Wal-Mart "Wally World".

A buzzard sits on the fence and stares at you, you know it's time to go to the doctor.

There are 5,000 types of snakes and 4,998 of them live in Texas.

There are 10,000 types of spiders and 10,001 of them live in Texas.

Someone says "gimme some sugar", it doesn't mean pass the sugar.

You know everything is bigger in Texas.

You think Texas is God's country!

Moved to Fort Hood from Illinois in May. We're off to Pflugerville (Austin suburb) in two months when our lease is up!

My DH was born in Houston...I grew up overseas. My DD is a native Texan...born in Ft. Worth! (DS was born in AR) We live in Grand Prairie.

We're in Dallas. Not a suburb or anything, just plain Dallas.

DH was born at Baylor and has only been OUT of Texas a few times. I think he went to Ohio and Arkansas when he was little. Since we have been married he has been to Florida (obviously!), Oklahoma (camping with DS) and Kansas with a little detour into Missouri. The first time we went to FL for a wedding he asked me if we needed to change our currency! :rotfl2: Poor DH needs to get out more! I have lived here since 1989, but I moved here from Florida so I had fond memories of Disney already in place. Good thing DS and DH are becoming Disney lovers, too!

I have to ask... What is Manu Ginobli?

Just go to one Spurs game and you'll know. He's from Argentina, he's handsome, and BOY, can he play basketball!

:wave2: Hi fellow Texans, there sure seems to be a lot of us!

I was born in Waco, but I have lived in Houston for the past 30 years (give or take a couple of years when we lived in FL and WA.) I absolutely love it here, and I know that I could never live anywhere else, we tried that a couple of years ago when we moved to FL and I only lasted a year! There is no place like Texas!

Paris, Texan here :teeth: home of the eiffel tower with a big red cowboy hat on top.

Another Texan checking in here .... from Cypress, TX (northwest suburb of Houston). Lived here my whole life.

Have visited many places throughout the U.S., but I can honestly say, there is NO PLACE LIKE TEXAS!

Hello from New Braunfels, home of America's #1 Waterpark!

I'm not sure how you missed me! That 40,000 posts + just means I'm on here entirely to much!!!! :surfweb: I just left off of Sublett rd. My son went to school in Kennedale. When DH started working for Grand Homes, we moved out into something a little bigger.

I'm originally from San Antonio. We were there until we went to college. Sometimes I think I want to leave teaxas, but then of course, there is always moving to Florida!!!
