Calling my techno wiz iPad friends

I am wondering is anyone knows if there is an exclusivity for the iPad with AT&T. I have been thinking of getting one, but I work since I work for Verizon, I just can't make my self get the 3G version. There are still the rumors of VZ getting the iPhone soonist. I just don't know what to do.

There are no iPads with Verizon-compatible (CDMA) radios. However, there are people who use a Verizon Mi-Fi to provide wireless internet access for their iPads, with good results.

I am on the vzw network, and I use my iPad with a mifi hotspot. It is a great combination.

Most of the newer droids on Verizon can be used as a mobile hotspot. I know the Palm Pre can as well. Maybe you can buy the wifi version of the iPad and use it that way. Nice compromise

I just activated the mobile hotspot on my Sprint EVO and was able to connect my iPod touch to it and watch Netflix. Plan to use this with my kids on the road and iPods/iPads/netbooks! Not to mention hotel rooms with $10+ per day internet fees :
