Calling MS for PS

When calling MS for a PS at Hoop-Dee-Do do you have to actually pay for the tickets by charging them or can you just reserve tickets with a charge card and pay for them when you pick up the tickets. I want to make a reservation for 8 people but, I am not sure that there will be 8 of us. 2 people haven't given us a definite answer. Will it be alright to reserve 8 and then cancel 2 if I have too? Has anyone done this through MS?

We made reservations for HDDR in Oct, 00 for our Sept, 01 trip. We made them thru the WDW Dining number, not thru MS. We had 10 people in our party and we had to provide payment (credit card) at least 3 weeks before our dinner. They sent us a notice a couple of months prior. I do think there was a thread awhile back where people had varying experiences with having to pre-pay. It may have something to do with party size. I would think the policy would be the same thru MS, but like I said, we did not use MS.

It also may have to do with how far out you make your ressies.
Any other experiences out there?

Have a great time - we did! It was my 40th birthday and what a hoot it was.

You'll need to provide MS with a credit card to hold them.

You can cancel/adjust it up to 48 hours prior to the date that you selected. After that, you're penalized $10.00 per person.

You pick up the tickets at your resort's guest services desk. That's when the actual payment is applied to your credit card.
