Dena the thing to do when calling the Radisson is to ask for the FALL discount. Should get a room for $59.
I bought a wild flowered dress yesterday. Or rather I ordered it. And today bought a pair of flowered pants. Those I may never wear outside of the house. Have to see how they look. Things coming together for our trip in a week. New Hampshire here we come. Off to handle barking dog. Estelle

I thought I was all done with my clothes shopping for the cruise but then spotting some flowered shorts while at Wal-Mart. I ended up buying shorts I probably never would have tried on before. Bright tomato red and pink flowered. I love them and have worn them out in public several times. I'm in such a tropical mood! I seem to find myself looking for anything with a tropical theme. Greetings EVERYONE!
Wow--We go away for an overnight and you guys add a lot of comments!

Our RV was broken into when we were in Baltimore (where I met Ginger and Ashley!!) in June and a small TV stolen. It was old and the VCR Portion did not work, but it was in a cabinet, so that means they were INSIDE the RV. We were parked where the hotel told us to park, but think that someone did it to find something to fence for drug money.

We left home Friday afternoon to caravan the RV to the dealer, south of Indianapolis (3 hour trip) for repairs to be made. New window and door lock. We went out to eat since it was our Anniversary--33rd--and slept in the RV in the dealer's parking lot.

This morning we cooked our own breakfast, checked the RV in with the service department, and looked at the new models and decided ours is still the best (Rialta by Winnebago). On the way home we stopped at Indiana Beach--an amusement park--for lunch and to walk through it. Fortunately you can buy a $2 entrance ticket and pay separately for rides. We did not ride anything, we are spoiled by WDW.

I know there was a $59 price for the Radisson. The less fancy room, but still sufficient space. Ask about FLORIDA SPECIAL. Or just keep asking. Tell them that I have it and ask what it was called. Sometimes there is a different name instead of FALL SPECIAL.

SHIRLEY: THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR THE PHOTO!! Would you and Norm like to come to the Radisson for our "meet" and maybe do dinner with us too on Friday evening?
Do you know if the Catamaran snorkeling expedition that Disney plans is with FURY CATAMARAN in Key West? I e-mailed them but got no answer.

ESTELLE: Tom has pointed out to me lately that our weather (yours and ours) is actually hotter than Florida. I have got to check out that Disney snob site.

Yes I think we are hotter than Florida. We were sitting around in air conditioned comfort last night discussing what we wanted to do in New England. Phil mentioned water falls and running rivers. Our DH who is going with us replied that was okay. But maybe we should realize that they haven't had any rain either and the falls may be either a trickle or dried out. Oh well we'll be there anyway.
I tried on the blue flowered pants , capri length, and I think I'll be bringing them along. DH laughed out loud when he saw them. You know what that means Jan. Some one put a comment on this thread a while ago about luggage. I really am beginning to think that I probably need an old fashioned steamer trunk. I am just not going to get it all in.

Thanks for the hotel info, I wound up getting a price for a two bedroom suite for $129 a night plus we can leave our car parked there and be shuttled to the cruise terminal. So I think that is what we are going to do since it would cost us about $60 to park at the terminal anyway. I let you know when I definitely book the room.
As far as weather is concerned, I have heard that it is alot hotter up north than we are having here. Although, yesterday we had a horrific thunderstorm that brought hail and a water spout. What excitement.
Jan: I am sorry to hear about your break in. I can't believe people have such nerve. But on a happier note, happpy anniversary.

? For those who just booked the Radisson. Did you call the resort direct or book on line? If online you may want to call them direct. I got a better deal from the Holiday Inn Family Suite when I called them directly. Their 1-800 reservation line knew nothing about the inter resort special they were offering. Sometimes the hotels run a special just for those folks calling them direct

I have to share this. My DH went shopping yesterday for something for our trip to Fla. and for my birthday. He bought a NEW!!! 2002 Ford Excursion Turbo Deisel. I feel like I'm driving a big bus.

BTW-Update on my diet I've lost 10 lbs.

Boy Ginger when you get things for your Birthday you get THINGS! Having been parked next to one of those recently I know what you mean about a bus. Our eldest DD has a turbo deisel VW and loves it. And by the way Happy Birthday!

Hey Jan, how come you just get to spend the night in the RV dealers lot? Any how happy 33rd. And lots more. I bought more bags for the TorTers. Same as the other ones only they are Halloween motif not Disney. Can't always have everything. They were quite reasonable. And they are cute.
Oh yeah Ginger way to go 10 pounds that is great!

I hadn't thought about horseback riding Emma. I think we're a bit on the other side of the hill for that. And I haven't been up close and personal with a horse in a whole lot of years. Our Doberman is as close as we get to a horse.

Sounds like we are all doing our best to bring the tropical mood into our respective states and towns by our outfits! and moods! A house near us was painted dark aqua this weekend and our reaction was that it looked Caribbean and weren't they nice to do that for us to enjoy.

ESTELLE: I can just imagine the tone of voice as you modeled those capris. Which DD expressed her "enthusiasm"? Thanks for the Anniversary wishes. The RV dealer has four hook-ups for campers in their parking lot. They were taken when we got there so we just parked on a flat space and stayed overnight anyway.

DENA: Thanks for the Anniversary wishes. A waterspout!! WOW. The free parking at the Radisson was the clincher for us too as we are driving the aforementioned RV to Florida for this trip and taking it to Fort Wilderness after the cruise. Our two previous RVs and our tent all went to FW and Tom thought the Rialta would feel left out if we did not take it. We got the cheaper room rate by calling the Radisson directly too. Good point GINGER, thanks for reminding everyone.

GINGER: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Nice birthday present! I thought your other vehicle was big!! CONGRATS on the weight loss. Wish mine was going so well.

EMMA: Tom and I will be snorkeling every chance we get, and a tour of some ruines is in the discussion stage so I doubt that we will be doing the horseback excursion with you. I bet it will be fun though and will enjoy hearing about it. TAKE A CAMERA!

It'll be nice to get back on a horse again, I used to be a pretty avid rider but i had to take some time out when I got busy with choir, drama and exams. Hopefully I'll be able to start back pretty soon.

Thanks for sharing that important information about the Radisson. We had no trouble getting our room at the special price. Maybe it depends on who you talk to.

I'm hoping to be on that cruise. I'm waiting for confirmation. I have only taken the 4 day cruise, so this is a first for me. Also, this time, in addition to my 11 year old, we will be traveling with my 13 month old! This should be interesting!

Hi everyone!
Welcome Sue Ellen!
I finally convinced my husband to stay at the radisson the night before YEA! So I went ahead and booked my room. We actually booked two king size suites, as it turns out my husbands cousin and her three children, his aunt and uncle and another cousin are cruising that week two and want to stay there too. So all of us will be splitting the cost of the rooms, which winds up costing us only $64.00. Plus we got the "cruise" special which lets us leave our car parked there and they will shuttle us over to the terminal.
I also ordered the halloween cruiser t-shirts for me DD and MIL
Another piece of news, I just read that the space shuttle Endeavor is scheduled to go up on November 2nd, the day we come back. No time given yet I dont know if anyone else cares, but I love to watch the shuttle go up. It is absolutely amazing.
Well, thats all for now, I have to start to organize myself, only one week to go and then I have to go back to work But that's life, somebody has to pay for these cruises!

Dena, thanks for the shuttle information. I think you may have just made the cruise for my DH.
Lovely day here breezy and mid 70s' for the highs today and tomorrow and then back to the 90s'. Maybe New England will be a bit cooler but the weather channel doesn't seem to think so.

The shuttle lifting off will make my DD and DH's day! We saw it once before in 1996. It was an incredible sight. OH!!! BUT THE TRAFFIC!!!!!
