Ginger:
You make a good point. With no kiddos in the house I forget that they can check the internet too.

I guess we will leave it that if there are duplications they have things they can take home for souvenirs for friends or start a collection.

Thanks for warning us about peanut products. As a peanut lover I would not have thought about that, but it is very good advice.

Looking forward to our trip together,

I have read that some of the Cruisers are planning for 24 children trick-or-treating.

I was also wondering if we could share what non-candy items we have in mind so we don't duplicate.

Or would that take the fun out of it? What do you think?

Jan :earsgirl:

I think we probably should share, especially if others are also going to order from Oriental Trading Co. I also placed my order online. They seem to have sooo much more online than they do in their catalogues.
We could PM each other about what we are buying for T or T.... just a thought. If anyone wants to know, drop me a PM or email. :)

If you want to e-mail me what you are going to get for the kids for Trick or Treat, I would be happy to keep a master list for future reference.

Jan :earsgirl:

Thanks Jan for the offer. I will certainly email you what I plan to bring for T or T. I don't expect to do any ordering yet I want to wait until the late summer/early fall catalogue arrives. It should have Halloween things in it. Sounds like 24 is about the magic number (pun intended). And no I am NOT into puns. My DH says no just pins. Sorry. I'll try not to do that anymore. Estelle

Can't believe that I found this thread half way down page three so I just had to add comments to give it a BUMP!

I picked up some small T or T items, 'small' being the key word. I am also concerned about the amount of stuff I'm packing. I'll also probably pick up some candy when we get to Fl.

I just heard thunder outside, so that is the end of my board cruisin for a while, we really need the rain but I just got started, this was the first thread I read!

Hi NJfamily, We had the thunderstorms first so we just sent them east to you. They seem to be more or less over on this side of the Delaware. They weren't around long. Estelle

sorry it's been a while but i've been on holiday for a week. Yeah we do dress up in witch, ghots and ghouls outfits, that's the whole point. I dont know much about the history of it though. 30 days till venice!

Keep us posted on Venice, Emma. Have a wonderful trip. How long will you be gone?

Jan :earsgirl:

Small world.

I was in Venice two weeks ago :D with my DW and our friends who are coming on the Halloween cruise.

Its such a beautiful place and so relaxing travelling around using the water busses, all the history and culture and the ice creams and pizzas were to die for !

Dave and Emma:
Sounds like you will have a lot to discuss on the cruise!
Jan :earsgirl:

yeah it does doesn't it! Singing in St Mark's Cathedral, wow! haha, today has been mad, the whole country stopped for the footie! So many people were late to skewl it was and when we were through, a massive cheer went up throughout the school!

Emma - What is a footie?

Today I added two waterproof disposable cameras to my suitcase. I used them on my last cruise and they worked out great on our snorkling excursion and at Castaway Cay. I also purchased a sundress for Tropical Night and shorts with a tropical print. Over the weekend I also purchased a nice dinner dress and sandals. Time seems to be going by much more quickly now. Before we know it we'll be boarding the Magic.
Patty :earsgirl:

I have purchased a tropical shirt for dh... but still haven't purchased anything tropical for me... :(

Now is the time to get these 'summery' things!! (trying to build myself up to go clothes shopping again! LOL)

Emma, I'll ditto Patty's question... what is a footie?

Hello cruisers!

Scott and I might be joining you for this wonderful cruise! We were actually booked for early December but after talking to Ray and Tony (the makers of your shirts) this cruise sounds really fun!

To all that cruised last year, please give us some tips and also tell us about the Trick or treat. Does everyone dress up for Halloween?

Actually we are 75% sure that we are going on this one.

Thanks in advance,
Dan

footie is football which you'll know as soccer. Don't remind me about how fast time seems to be going! 24 days till Venice and I have so much to do!

Welcome Dan and Scott,
Now you know Ray and Tony tell no tales. LOL We had a great time last year, can't wait to do it again. Yes, bring your costumes and candy.

Here are a few of Disney Cruise Line "Spooktacular" events from last year.
DCL does encourage Guest of all ages to bring along their costumes for these special events. There will be a costume contest on one evening with prizes being awarded based on the following categories:
Funniest
Scariest
Best Group
Most Original
Most Disney
You should have seen all the lime green t-shirts at the DCL terminal last year. This year I'll be wearing a purple one with our new Halloween Cruise logo. I know you want to see what I'll have on. Click on the bottom of this note.
Most of us last year decorated our stateroom doors and stateroooms. D.I.S.'ers rooms were easy to find. We had our own T-or-T for the kids in our group. We all dressed up and went from one DIS'ers room to the other. The kids loved it and so did the adults. Afterwards we did a group lunch at Lumiere's. We did an adult brunch at Palo's. Some of us even adventured to Anguilla from St. Maarten's to play with big spiders. Ray still laughs about that.
Anyway Dan and Scott if your looking for a great time you'll find it on the Oct 26, 2002 Disney cruise. The real fun will be starting on Oct 25, at the Port Canaveral Radisson. Call for the "FALL" special. I sure hope you decide 100% on joining us.

BTW all I found a book at the library full of info. about Key West. The Insider's Guide To The Florida Keys and Key West. It has information on getting around, things to do, restaurants, etc, etc, etc.
my t-shirt

Hi Ginger
I'm interested in the tee shirt and am wondering what it means when it says the purple polo is white or am I reading that wrong. I have one of those somewhat stuffy DHs who doesn't like tee shirts so the polo would be perfect for him.
Thanks Estelle

ehtpnt,

You will love these shirts! I have one (different design) but it is very nice and high quality! Ray does a very nice job with his work, and the mickey weave is so adorable.

Sorry I can't help you with the polo question.

As a side note it is a shame that the DIS has lost Ray (pryd) as posters on this site. Ray and Tony are both great people and they will be sadly missed.

Ginger, can you email me I have a question for you.

Thanks
Dan

Ginger,

Almost forgot, I was part of the "Cruistoberfest" last September. We had over 100 people from the boards, they were a great bunch of people and I hope that you guys can fill their shoes! LOL
