Calling for pins?

What number do you call to see if you have a pin? Is it just the luck of the draw with what CM you get with whether or not they will check

I just got off the phone with a CM from that Hot Place! good lord you would think i was asking if she would pay for my trip --- all i said was a friend received a discount and could she check to see if i had one (both true statements BTW) NO that is not something i can do -- we are not able to do the system can not handle those kinds of requests.

Ok, now before you hang up on me woman i have one little question, you know the planning DVD (the one you are only allowed to get one of) well mine is scratched and i can't watch it. Then she asked for all my info -- confirmation number name address phone number, weight, dress size lol you know the drill. Oh so i see the last time you were is was 2008 nothing much has changed -- UHM NO i haven't been since 1999 So i might get one if she decided to actually key it into the system but who knows eh?

There can you tell i am a tiny bit upset right now?

I just called and she was more than happy to check. No pins for me though, but she did say since I am going in December, check back in the next month and dont be suprised to see the free dining offer.

I will say calling a CM to check for a discount is a very hit and miss situation. I tried the other day and had to call twice to get a CM who would look. On the second call I gave a sob story and it worked, but alas I had no code. When you think about it even if the CM says they will look they may not. The only way to test it is to get a code, then you know the CM looked.

I called tonight 3 times. First 2 CM would not look they told me I have to tell them pin. The 3rd time I called I got a super nice lady who looked up and I did have pin attached to my name for free dining Aug 23- Dec 17! We are going Dec 12-18 and this saves us $500. All I can say is keep trying the worst they can say is no and you just call back!

I don't understand this if you call and have a pin attached to your name why aren't these people getting this info via snail or email? Any thoughts? I mean if they technically won't look up a code and you don't get anything by mail then?

It makes no sense to me either. I have 4 email addresses registered with Disney. They have my current info. I got the planning DVD sent last month. Still it took 3 calls tonight before I was lucky enough to get someone who would even look for me. Then I felt like I hit the lottery when I got a code!

I just called and the CM told me that they no longer do this. I told her that someone does it because several Dis-boarders have gotten codesthis way. She basically told me that I was wasting My time and hers and we all needed to get a new hobby because" Don't you know that most of those people are LIARS, and thats the reason that they are on there to begin with" She talked to me like I Was a 3rd graderand she was a teacher! She definitly does not have the Disney Magic thing down!!! She didn't even tell me to have a Magical Day!!!

OMG!!!! The entire time I'm reading your post I'm thinking to myself, I hope the CM didn't add Have a Magical Day at the end.

Haven't heard of a code for Jan 2010 yet. The hot pin code right now is free dining for end of Nov-Dec.

well..maybe this will give you some hope...we called twice one night and we were told both times that they were unable to look up PIN codes for us...two days later we received the Free Dining PIN code for December in the mail.

Ha! Call her back and tell her that she's the liar 'cause I called today and the CM, Martin, kindly looked it up for me making sure that he had the spelling of my name and email address correct.

I had a man that checked for me today. No pin code attached to our name though. I have had some that will not check. I think it is just WHO you get.
