Calling Epcot Resort experts!

We've stayed at YC, BC and the Swan. This is a cop-out, but I loved all three. For some reason the Boardwalk has never appealed to me. It seems like it would be loud and too bustling. Plus, the YC/BC has the best pool on property, Stormalong Bay. And you gals will be doing a lot of relaxing by the pool I'll bet. Both YC/BC and the S/D have health clubs and you can schedule a massage. If I had to pick I would say YC/BC. It's very close to Epcot, the CMs and the service are great, but you'll need two rooms for 6 people...I think it would be crowded.

That said, I have a great idea. Try the Beach Club Villas - get a one bedroom and you all stay together. You could get the room from Disney or go the DVC board and rent points from someone (which is totally the cheaper way to go).

The S/D often have great discounts, so that might be a thought as well.

Laura that is A-W-E-S-O-M-E!! :Pinkbounc :cool1: You are going to love it! The Villas would have been nice in terms of staying together and space but, believe me, the pampering at BWI CL RULES :cloud9: princess: ! You are in for such a treat! Be sure and utilize the pre-planning services for Priority Seatings and maybe an Illuminations Cruise or Segway Tour!! Also, take the time to lounge in the Lounge~ Congratulations :flower1: !

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Nice try PrinceJohn :earboy2:

Laura Stick with the BWI. You will LOVE it! The decor is beautiful and it has a great feel to it. Plus, from all I've read (and that is A LOT!) the Concierge Lounge and staff is head and shoulders above the others...

Laura, you are going to be so happy with your choice. As stated above utilize the planners, they are wonderful. Now that you have booked you can e-mail them with any requests for dinners or even an Illuminations cruise. I did this last March with the girls and we had a blast. The e-mail is WDW.YBBW.concierge@disney.com. Alana has done my so many things for me. Any of the cast there will be happy to help you plan a wonderful vacation. Then when you check in, it is now done up on the 4th floor, you will feel like a VIP. the cast of the Innkeepers Club is the best. Jackie, Scott, Robin, Laura and Ilia have become part of our family. Have fun!!!!!

Your posts convinced me that the BWI CL was the place for us! I've always wanted to stay there. Love the close proximity to Epcot and MGM and we love the Flying Fish Cafe and Jellyrolls. If either of you have time, can you give me some details of your experience with the Illuminations Cruise? How many people, do you bring your own drinks/food, etc.?

PrinceJohn, we are in the market for a LICENSED masseuse, but we are up to 10 women now which is certainly more than you could handle     (Admit it, you asked for that one!)

(Also meant to tell you that we do definitely want to try YC in the future with the kids for SAB - but you should know that Georgia girls don't go NEAR the water unless it is at least 95 degrees outside!!! Only Yanks swim in the winter in Florida! :D )

Thanks again, everyone! :flower1:

You are going to be sooooooo happy with your choice! We stayed in the BWI Garden Suites a few years ago and fell in love with the resort. Don't forget to post a trip report when you get back! :D

We had 7 on our cruise. The boats hold up to 12. We did bring drinks from the lounge, soda, but you can bring a bottle of wine if you want. It was one of the girls' birthday so I had ordered a cake through concierge. There was a mix up so they had 3 small cakes for us, free of charge, and provided the necessary paper goods and silverware. We had so much fun. The boat picked us up at the BW dock at 8:15 and we cruised to MGM and around the bW before parking under the bridge at Epcot. We parked next to the Breathless and the other pontoon boats. The view was amazing and our captain along with the other captains were very entertaining. It was well worth doing.

It was $120. There are several different plans now that include food and drink. We found it easier to go with the basic cruise. You can always grab something from the lounge to bring with you. You do need to hold it with a CC. We paid the driver cash and also gave her a $30 tip. She was so awesome. Check with Alana in the planning office about your different options. If you are further than 90 days out from your trip still let them know you want the cruise and they can put it in their computer to book it at the 90 day mark.

We are BACK...from BWI CL. Absolutely Loved it. We did the Illuminations Cruise and basically ate our way around the World. The Concierge staff was truly great. We especially loved Pete. He even took us on a tour of the Presidential Suite. Thank you all for the wonderful recommendations. I promise I'm going to TRY and do a trip report this time. Thanks again! :earsgirl:

Welcome back! I am so glad you enjoyed your trip. Aren't the CMs there just the best?!!!! They are the reason I return there every year. Can't wait to hear all about it.
