Calling England from USA

just a quick question, what area code do I dial, do I drop the 01 from the beginning of our code & replace it with something else. Thanks.

You need to drop the zero.

For example to call my number it would be 011 44 1253 866831

International Code/Country Code/Local Area Code without the leading zero/telephone number

If you are calling FROM USA to the UK you use the code 0044 (or +44 from a mobile) you do not need to add the international code for the USA.

For example, a number with the code 01233 (333333) would become 00441233 333333 with the first 0 being dropped and replaced with 0044.

You dial 0044 and the drop the first zero of the UK number
