Calling CRO - where's the pixie dust???

We phoned CRO last night to book the All Star Resort for our upcoming trip. This was by far the worst CM we have ever had on the telephone. He was VERY rude and talked so quickly, that I kept having to ask him to repeat himself. He was getting worse as the phone call progressed. When I told him we had a code for a discount, he grunted and asked for it. We then asked if we could put in a request for a non-smoking room and try for a room with a King size bed. This was the real kicker. He said none of the value hotels have King size beds. HELLO!!!! We've stayed in rooms with king size beds at the All Star Resort many times before (Sports resort as recent as last September)!! We politely said that there were and he said we were wrong!!!

Don't get me wrong........we're excited to go on this trip. It's just that we couldn't believe how rude this particular CM was! Anyone else have similar experiences?? :rolleyes:
 
Call back and ask them to add your requests to your reservation. When I get an uncooperative or unknowledgeable CM I'll just end the call and try again a few minutes later.
 
Lately I've been encountering more and more inexperienced CM's whenever I call CRO. This morning I had a real beaut of a CM!!

I called to try to add a missing day on my reservation, and she told me it was available. I was so excited after having tried so many times to get it! She told me to hold on, that she had to speak to her supervisor first.

About 5 minutes later she gets on to tell me that the room is now gone, but how about another resort? In the time she had me on hold, the room disappeared!!!:mad:

Not to be deterred, I still figured Monday morning a good time to try for hard to get rooms; (no mail on Sunday for deposits to arrive etc.). I asked the CM to check my ressie, and told her what I was looking for. She told me that I had all the days I requested! Somehow, the previous CM either added the room, or her supervisor did, but she had wrongly informed me that it was no longer available.

The moral is: try, try again. If you get one CM who is uncooperative or rude, end the call, and call again. Good Luck!:teeth:
