calling creative minds! help with MNSSHP for my family!

ok so we will be going to our first MNSSHP in Oct! can't wait! I really want to do a FUN theme for all of us to wear...but I'm stuck! I have ALL boys -- dh, 12, 8 and 4 and me -- so I just cant seem to think of anything! also I have come up with some really cute ideas -- but I know that the costumes have to be very light weight (counting on pretty warm weather) and be something we can ride the rides in -- so I thought I would ask on here if anyone had any good ideas?

Avenger's you can either make or get tshirts; ninja turtles would be easy as well OH or you could be Wendy, Peter Pan and the lost boys?

We're going with making our own tshirts route for Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet, Roo and Pooh

It has never been super hot at MNSSHP for us, and we have been in both September and October. Dressing up is great fun. One year, my daughter's favorite thing was getting her face painted before the party at DTD. She had her face painted like a fairy, so she just wore comfy clothes with her face painted. The same company painted her face at DTD as is at MK to do face painting, so they said she could get her face touched up all night for free. That might be something they could do. Get their faces painted in one of their favorite characters. You could have a theme going on.

You could be Cruella and the rest could be Dalmatians. Dalmatians are easy-- white shirts with spots painted on them. The boys could paint them. Usually you can find a package with the ears and tail pretty cheap. I'm not sure a 12 year old boy will agree to be a Dalmatian though. He could always be Jasper or Horace. You could be a Princess and the boys could all wear Princess protection agency T-shirts (you can make them or I think there are people on ETSY that will make them for you). We saw a really cute family group of minions last year. The Dad was Gru, the Mom was Lucy and the 3 kids were all minions. If everyone just wanted short sleeved T-shirts, you could all be minions. You also can usually find Superhero costume T-shirts. That is what DH usually wears. He just wears one with Jeans or shorts and that is as far costume as he goes. He has a Superman one that has a cape attached, and he also has a Captain America one. They make Wonder Woman, and Supergirl ones too, if you want to stay with the theme.

You will be hot, you need to plan cool. We do homemade costumes that combine a "tshirt" and "shorts" and sometimes "accessories". Find a theme that works with your family and get creative. CMs love creative outfits so don't be afraid to throw your own twist to the theme. We usually do two parties and have two different outfits.
