Calling Boardwalk Brides

I am starting to plan my wedding and looking for dresses. Ideally I would like to have the ceremony at Poly however we have too many people so Boardwalk is my second choice. I was wondering if your dresses had trains and if so did they snag or do they have some sort of fabric down to prevent that. I am having a hard time finding a dress with no train or even a little one.

I had a train, it didn't snag but it got filthy. There is nothing down, you walk along the boards at SBP. My Mom and MOH carried the train while we walked from the BW to SBP. Luckily you don't notice it in any of the pictures from the wedding or the MK shoot the next day.

I am getting married at Sea Breeze Point. I also searched for a dress w/o a train and even thought about wearing a short, tea length dress. Then I found a dress I loved, and it has a train. I am most likely going to have the train taken off though. Good luck finding your dress

i am at the boardwalk also i bought my dress from davids bridal. their galina line has alot of more simple dresses that have little sweep trains. mine is the one with the halter and the trumpet skirt. hope this helps

I had a pretty decent length train (see pics in TR) and my dress stayed very clean, even in the bad weather. My dressmaker put a ribbon loop on the train, and I could then easily manage the train.

I was also married at SBP. I had a gown completely made of tulle and a 6 ft. cathedral veil. I carried it on the walk over. The only thing that snagged was my veil. The wind kept picking it up and snagging it on bushes, so I just held onto a piece of it while my dad walked me up the aisle. It worked out fine. My dress didn't get dirty at all and we had to run back towards the Flying Fish afterwards because it started to rain... but it all ended up ok.
