Help me out all you DISers! I was reading another thread about favorite treats in WDW, and I realized I've never really eaten much from the WS at EPCOT... We won't be doing much TS there, so help me out with yummy "to go" treats from "around the world" (showcase, that is!)

So, what would you get from:
Canada -
United Kingdom -
France -
Morocco -
Japan -
American Adventure -
Italy -
Germany -
China -
Norway -
Mexico -

Just stay in the French pastry shop all day....chocolate croissants, eclairs, cream puffs, fruit tarts, quiches,. . . .

Rice Cream from Norway
Champagne from France (sorry, my favorite)
Curly Wurly Bar from United Kingdom (just like the old Marathon candy bars you used to be able to get here in the states when I was a kid)
Kaki Gori from Japan (like a snow cone)
Chocolates from Italy
Cookies from Germany and Gummi Bears too

There's more.

So, what would you get from:
Canada - pretzel bread
United Kingdom - Bounty bar
France - pastries - any type delicious
Morocco - not sure of the name...but it was a flaky, honied, nutty pastry like Baklava
Japan - ?
American Adventure -
Italy - any chocolate or gelato or cannoli
Germany - german chocolate cake or black forest cake
China - ?
Norway - ?
Mexico - churro's
I inserted my choices in your chart!

Only one word...FRANCE!!! We stopped at the French bakery in WS last week, and my DH and DS 9 and 5 had the chocolate cake! Had to take a bite! RICH!!! I had the nepoleon. DELICIOUS!!!! The smell alone in that bakery will make you want to try something! Enjoy!!!

Canada-Moosehead
UK-Stella
France-Beaujolais
Japan-rice wine
Mexico-margaritas
Italy-by this point anything red
Germany-if still standing rotate to white

Okay, just kidding! (ah sort of)

We don't usually fill up on sweets, but you really shouldn't miss the bakery in france, and a glass of champagne goes nice with most everything, especially the cream brulee!

Enjoy :woohoo: :drinking1

Churro-Mexico
Cloudberry Cream Horn-Norway
Croissant or something sweet-France
Canoli-Italy
Baklava-Morroco

My little treasure is the baklava in Morrocco. Also, ALL of the candy in Japan is good!

Our family loves the sweet kringala from Norway--I like the rice cream too!

Here's another vote for the pastry shop in France. Also Italian Ice in Italy is really refreshing after a long hot walk.

Canada - The chocolate whiskey cake in Le Cellier
United Kingdom - Double Decker bar
France - Chocolate croissant
Morocco - pistachio baklava
Japan - Pocky or fruit gels
American Adventure - Funnel Cake
Italy -
Germany - Haribo cherries, Toblerone, Tofeefee (fay?)
China - Red bean ice cream
Norway - Sweet pretzel with almonds
Mexico - Churro

My list is rapidly growing! Of course I'll have to share with all the members of my group - especially if I meet the goal that's in my signature! I am older than the legal drinking age, so perhaps I'll be delighting in a few of the yummy adult beverages that have also been mentioned! :drinking1

For all of you who haven't replied yet - keep those recommendations coming!

Your list is a lot like mine! Although I'd add in chocolates in Italy and a gingerbread cookie in Germany. The Mickey Gingerbread rules!

:Pinkbounc Just bumping this thread to keep the ideas coming!

I am a HUGE pastry person, so I LOVE Norway. I have tried stuff in France and it wasn't that I didn't like it, just loved Norways pastries much more! The cheesecake in Norway is out of this world creamy, melts in your mouth. The cherry and apple tarts are yummy too.
Have fun!

Our family loves France. We go every trip to get dessert. Our last trip we only had one night in EPCOT and missed getting dessert in France. Even though we tried . . . doors were locked :sad2: I would say our favs are the cream puffs, choc mousse and fruit tarts! Our November trip will definitely include a stop in France!
