That is freaky, but so cool!!!! The only time my hair really changes colois in the summer and winter. I am a darker brunette in the wintertime and almost completely blonde in the summertime.

Thanks. It's very weird.

There's also quite a bit of silver and gray in it ;) too, but who's really keeping track of that. ;) :teeth:

I am a 30 something male. I like Disney parks, but love theme and amusement parks. I'm not a Disney freak...um....fan like some people. I love thrill rides!

I never knew there were so many single women on the DIS. If I knew, I'd have signed up on the DIS earlier.
Thirty something huh? Is your dad single? :rolleyes1

This is my very first post on this board. I just found this message board today while doing some research on going to Disney World. I'm a 30 year old female and I've NEVER been to Disney World or DisneyLand :(. It's always been my dream vacation though and now after reaading this forum I'm thinking I could just go on a solo trip :).

Sorry I have brown hair but the red comes out with the sun and no matter what help I try!(but I love my red hair) And the tan thing oh boy I get in the Florida sun for an hour with out sun block I am as red as a Maine Lobster. So when Igo down how does everyone know I am from Upstate Ny?....lol....The weather's fickle here, yesterday it was 54 the day before it got up to a whopping 86 so how can ya get a tan besides "Fake and Bake" hehe

So how long until the Disney Personals group appears? :earboy2:

I too am single, in my thirties, and living in NYC. I'm planning my first solo trip from Nov 1-6 (so I can catch the Food and Wine Festival). I'm hoping to meet up with some other solo travelers, hopefully at the big Saturday night tasting event (I went last year, but can't remember the name of it...).

It's great to see a board devoted to solo traveling!

Where in nyc? I'm from Bayside

Now you've got me wondering? :scratchin Gentlemen, would you like to respond to that?

There coud be many reasons. Some folks (redheads and non-redheads alike) just don't want to be permanently linked to another person. Soe just haven't been able to find that special somweone. Some gave up trying. Sorry, I don't have a pat answer. I still think the fun is in the looking - not as much fun as WDW, but more of an intellectual challenge!

Welcome to the DIS!

Don't be aprehensive about a solo trip to WDW. I think WDW is probably one of the best solo destinations in the world, because there is such a comprehensive set of entertainment facilites and support facilities in one area, all run by the same company. It's also one of the safest and most secure destinations.

Keep on reading and posting, I guarantee you will get answers to all your questions.

Just got back from 8 days solo at WDW! I'm going to admit, this is my 7th solo trip and 5 days in...I, well...I got a little lonely! The issue didn't come up on my first 6 trips, maybe there is a max-out level??

Anyway, I was "looking" around while at the parks, if you catch my drift. I saw some girls around who were touring alone, but found it next to impossible to approach them. It's never a prob for me in any designated single locations, the shore, a bar or coffee shop, cause it's always fairly obvious who's available. Disney World turned out to be quite different, the pace was much faster, the couple girls I saw alone looked busy touring. Can we singles wear like a little pin or something at WDW to make us easier to spot??

Here I am! I want a pin! Can I have one? I'm too old for Joe (darn it) but I want a pin so the older (40's to early 50's) guys can find me!

Maybe we need Mickey ears in a different color as opposed to lime green. I vote for red! Nothing to do with the previous post on hair color, I'm a blonde! Any of you there next week?

Well, if I may be so bold...

You are quite a cutie (if that's you in your photo there) and I think any woman would be flattered to be approached by you... :flower:

Okay everyone, time to add some personal information to your posts!
Single Disney female here and I swear I'll buy my own set of ears when I get there in June. :earsgirl:
Lets add: gender, general age range, location, and when you'll be there next.

Female ::MinnieMo , generally in my 40's :rolleyes1 , Seattle, June 28 - July 6. Any guys out there somewhere my age range?

Hey, Brant!

I just realized that I met you a few years ago with Nate & the Cru Crew! Small world (or small Disney message board community, I guess!)

My solution to the getting lonely on solo trips problem was to nag my friends that live in Orlando to come hang out with me. A couple of hours with someone you know every few days helps a lot! Someone to share stories with, etc.

I'll be going SOLO for the first time May 23-27. I am kinda worried about getting lonely but I just figure if I keep busy (which is about the easiest thing to do at Disney) that I'll be fine. I'm not the type to get lonely but being far away from home without anyone I know to talk to for a week may be a bit weird. I'm banking on enjoying myself more than ever during this trip though.

I'm bringing my IPOD and laptop and will fill it with Disney related podcasts so I can listen to them while back at the hotel alone in the evenings.

Any other advice you seasoned solo travellers can give me would be nice. TIA

Go for it!!! I did and enjoyed it thoroughly. I spent a whole week there and had a blast!! Of course, you could wait for somebody else to decide on your vacation?!?!? Nah! Go for it!! By going solo you can go where and when you want to. You don't have to negotiate with someone else about what to do. Let us know how it goes.
