Calling all SINGLE solo travelers

Slapwhitey you go to WDW in December? That is the one time of year that I want to see it!! I've never seen it decorated for Christmas. I also am used to getting there when the parks open and staying until closing. I feel like I'm missing something if I don't do that. :)

If you love Xmas, you will love Disney at Xmas. I like the Osbournes Festival of Light at MGM. Two years ago they didn't have it as they were moving items. Last year it was up but it just didn't seem the same. Something was missing. There may have been as many lights (I doubt it) but I think that the stroll through the various streets that made up the old display was longer and in my opinion, more enjoyable. I'm heading to Orlando December 10 to the 24th. I head there every year before Xmas as I like the atmosphere at that time of year. Of course, swimming is a sometimes thing with unpredictable weather.

I was just wondering if any solo's were going in June this year. I'll be down there either 6/12- 6/17 or 6/19-6/24. It might just be me and my parents and i don't want to be stuck w/ them the whole time. :earsboy:

You know..it's funny? For years I wanted to be at WDW for Christmas with all the lights and things. Then, I move to Orlando and end up going home for Christmas! :rotfl:

The crowds are UNBELIVEABLE the week between Christmas and New Year's. All the parks are jammed..much worse than summer. You won't catch me at any of the parks during that time of year...once was enough!

I think she was talking about just seeing the decorations, which go up right after Thanksgiving. :) I went the first week of Dec. 2004 and it was like a ghost town most days. I've never seen it less crowded and the decorations looked beautiful.

Count me in.....42 year old male in Washington state. I've been 7 times since 2000 and it would have been more if I hadn't got derailed by marriage. Bought my AP in 2001 and got married to someone who wouldn't fly. Should have known better. It's a long drive from Washinton to Florida. Oh well, that problem is taken care of. Fly out next on Oct. 16. Can't wait!!!

Well..the first week of December might be deserted but the week BETWEEN Christmas and New Year's is certainly not a ghost town..which is the week I was talking about. ;)

The decorations were beautiful.

I've heard stories about the week between Christmas and New Years! I would just like to go sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas to see the 'world' decorated. ::MickeyMo

Hi! GREAT thread! I'm a mod at the PassPorter boards but this got me off of lurking here! I'm the guy from NJ who's under 25 and loves Disney World/Disney. I'm actually 23, SWM, been looking for past 5 years for a girl who is genuinely into Disney and about my age, to be honest, I thought there were NONE, just like it was thought there were no guys. My past 6 trips have all been solo and single. I'm addicted to going that way!

What we really need apparantly is a full-fledged Disney Singles Matchmaking site, if I only knew how to make a webpage :O. Any area peoples, you can PM me, or IM me, would love to chat. AIM is JoeyCarioca

Hahaha, what a great idea!

I live in Fredericton. Not too far from Moncton well about an hour and a half away. That is neat that some of your family still lives here in beautiful New Brunswick. Have you ever visited NB? I am planning a trip to Moncton for my birthday which is also in May. You have a great trip as well, and hope you have a great birthday!!!

When I was a kid, our family would go to Moncton every other summer for a week or so. Since high school trips have only been once every 4 or 5 years, and since the cousin that is my age moved to Ottawa, my last couple trips up north have been there, instead of to Moncton. I think the last time I went to Moncton was in 1998. Great city, though! And have a happy birthday trip there!

Another single dis'er checking in. :) 32, divorced with beautiful boy/girl twins. Have an "iffy" trip planned for June. If we don't make it then we'll definitely be going for Christmas. :Pinkbounc

I went to Ramapo College too, I was probably there before you were though, I was there Fall 98 through Spring 2000. What was your major?

Make sense why you would go to Ottawa now, it is also a beautiful city. Maybe you will come back to Moncton again someday. I will try to have a happy birthday trip there, I don't think I will have to try very hard...hehehe. :drinking1

I dont live too far from Toms River--My grandparents live over the bridge so i go down there alot in the summer...i love the beach !

I always go in early December and the crowds are wonderful. I actually attentd MVMCP one night and there were times when it seemed as thought we were the only ones in the "land" at that time. Well worth the extra admission. Anyway I was going to say that I was there for the milleneum New Year before and after and I didn't find it too bad. The crowds were large but the lines were quite manageable. I found the stand by waits last week were longer. But with all the decorations up for Christmas it's unbelievable. This was my first trip outside of the Christmas window and it felt like something was missing. I guess I'll be back in the winter.
