Calling all Princesses! (2014 Princess half marathon board)

Hello all!

My friend and I registered last Thursday for the PHM....just on the off chance I opened my confirmation email and clicked on "view complete registration details" and it says that I am not authorized to view this registration.
It isn't even listing the Half under my name but I can see the necklace and race retreat I purchase.
Should I be worried?? Is this normal because general register just opened??

I haven't checked, but I am not worried. I printed out the page when I registered. It has an order number on it, the race I entered, and they charged my card within seconds of registering. If that's not good enough then (IDK)

Y'know, I don't think I've ever, in 5 rD races, looked on Active for my registration info! I just keep my confirmation email and print it out before going to packet p/u. Haven't had a problem yet!

Ok...I guess I am just panicky by nature...I top have my confirmation email and printed out my receipt right after registering...

And just to be more cautious...I did a search through active under my city and state and only people "more magic" items and race retreat are popping up too...so I am feeling better...may probably wont show up for a few days, I suppose...I am surprised at how many people in my area have signed up.

On another note I had to laugh at your comment at how quickly they did charge the credit card....lol...ain't that the truth!!

I just registered my son for a kids race! We're turning it into a family race weekend!!! Anyone know how fast the chear squad sells out? I know I want to get it for my son and DH, but my parents haven't completely committed yet and I'd hate to pay all that money and have them back out. They are in the middle of the Atlantic right now on a cruise so I can't even ask!

Mine does the same. My cc has also been charged so they better have my info. Lol.

This happened to me when I registered for the Peachtree road race, I clicked on the link and it show the same message, you can contact active and nag them ( I did that) then they send me my registration, but if you received your confirmation you should be fine, I was freaking out too.

I emailed Active Support and it said that was because it wasn't linked to my Active.com account and I could link it but it would erase all my other confirmations. Use the link on the RD page to get an email confirmation - you will see you are registered for sure.

Now about the kids' races - my kids want to register and they will be in two different categories (5 and 7). I would rather register for the Saturday races, but will it be too crazy trying to do that the same morning as the 10K? I ran the W&D last year, but since it's a night race the kids were already in bed and I didn't have to worry about them. Will it be easy to do the 10K and two different kid races on the same morning?

I'm all over the place with ideas for how to plan that weekend and whether to do the 10K or 1/2 and also maybe volunteer at the 1/2. I think walking will probably be ok for me. Any ideas on how fast these races are going to fill up? I'm feeling like I should decide now what to do, but I don't want to rush the decision.

Also, as far as rundisney discounted park tickets: are those only for the runner or can the runner buy them for their family as well?

I believe the 10k starts at 5:30am same as Princess. I'm thinking the 10k will sell out really fast. PHM may take a bit longer, but I'm guessing it will sell out faster then normal this year. Yes, you can buy race discount tickets for your entire family.

Hello everyone! I've been reading the boards for a bit in anticipation of registering for the Princess Half today! It'll be my first Disney race and my first Half so I'm very excited.

I've seen it mentioned a few places that you can buy discounted park tickets with your registration but I've missed if someone has explained how that works.

The kids races start later. I think they told me 8:45. I know that the 5k is at 6:15am and the 10k is earlier. I am planning on running the 5k. My mom will bring my boys over later before the kids races. My kids are 5 and 7 too. I put them both in the mile to make it easier, so they both went at the same time. My brother and sister in law ran the 5k last year and my mom brought my niece over to meet up with them to run in the 400 last year. I was told that there was a lot of time in between the races and one race didn't start until the one before was finished. I don't think that you will have any problem doing them all one morning. I would just plan on being there all morning.

I am hoping to run the PHM in 2015. I love hearing all the specifics, so I know how to plan. I plan on running 10k next spring for a qualifying time for the next year. I would never have known to plan that without reading all the helpful info here!
