Just booked my flights!!!!! Now I just need Disney to open up the online booking system so I can get my room booked. Super excited!!!!

To help with the excitement- I wanted to share a couple blog posts!

First- THE Video. SaySay and TinkerAmy's 3rd installment of PHM recap videos- and I got to be in it this year! See- stalking pays off! Check it out- it was so fun- and then go tell Julie how much you loved it! (she's at VBS all week, so not on the boards much)

Second--- if you can't afford the race registration, consider running for charity! I've also got a giveaway going on there too! Who doesn't like FREE?!

Happy Registration day, ladies and gents!

Southwest hasn't opened up that far out. I have to wait. And I do need to get my room booked.

Not to be creepy but I am a MWF, looking for another to share the cost of a room. Must be female.

Southwest just canceled their only direct flight for my trip in September. I am not happy. I was planning on using miles for the PHM.

I know- southwest is driving me crazy not being able to book yet. Dont they know that princess registration has started already?!? :) lol

Good luck to all registering today!

I was worried about rooms too! I called and was able to book "room only" since packages haven't been priced yet. Room was at rack rates --eek!!! But CM said I can apply discounts or put in a package later. With room only you have to pay 1st night deposit and if you cancel with enough notice it's fully refundable. I'm DVC and plan to use points but my points are at VGC and Aulani so I can't book yet and wanted my dates secured so I could work on flights.

Even when I go out to eat, I keep a sweatshirt in my car in case it's freezing in the place, makes me feel like an old lady! LOL
::yes:: I just packed for our upcoming WDW trip - included are a sweatshirt for the room, sweater for evening dinners, and 2 thin wraps/scarves that I can stuff into a bag and pull out as necessary for cold restaurants/theaters. It was 94* in the shade yesterday.

So, despite tanking, and stopping for a ton of pics, we finished in 1 hour and 26 seconds.
Congrats on getting it done! I run a very tall, almost mile-long bridge to do hill work (since I have no hills here in coastal FL) and it's TOUGH, especially in high heat and humidity. WTG you! :thumbsup2

Haha!!! I can't imagine what I'll be like as an old lady in Florida, I'll probably keep a parka with me :rotfl2:
:rotfl: I honestly own more winter outerwear now than when I lived in WNY!
I bust out he down jackets when temps drop to 50.

How do the shirt sizes run? I have NO idea since I'm a t-shirt kind of gal how I would know what size ??
The shirts last year were fitted, but not skin-tight. I wear a size 2-4 and the XS fits me perfectly - slim and skimming, but not clingy. And, shockingly, not down to my knees! (I'm 5'1" and shirts are always too long.)

Me!!!

I signed up for the Glass Slipper challenge and I'm sooooooo excited!!!

:cool1:
:yay:

Will the PHM fill up really fast or should we be ok if we wait a few weeks?

We are only wanting the PHM not the GSC.
Don't hold me to it, but I think you'll be okay; I think the GSC and 10K will go fast, but the half itself shouldn't sell out for a bit. Just keep an eye on the percentages and act if it starts nearing 90%.

Hey, when are you gonna be at WDW??

I would love to know how the shirts run as well, I am kind of in mediums and larges right now, depending on the fit.

Last year they were SMALL. I now rear a medium UA tech shirt. With Disney I needed a large. But, it's not a large problem as there is an exchange table at the expo.

Somehow I was able to register yesterday. My friend picked Ariel and I see last year's bib was green. I picked Merida and I guess I will just have to wait to see that bib.

LOVE her too BRAVE/Strong I'm going to go with that :thumbsup2 and thanks also PP with help with shirt sizes also the poster that said she exchanged it at the expo (that's a good safety net)

LOL...just don't order the Men's! I could put a belt around those and wear them as a long-sleeved t-shirt dress.

Hi all! I am completely a novice at all of this. I will be 44 in 2014 and decided to set the goal of running the Princess 1/2. princess: I have never done any type of race before. I am wondering what programs the experts here started off doing? I was considering the C25K, but the runDisney website has a program too...I plan of completing at least one 5K and one 10K before February. I can't wait to read through this thread and learn all about it!

I use the Jeff Galloway training program. If you have an iPhone, there's even an app! It is a run/walk method, but you can set the intervals to whatever you want it to be.

I am sooo excited to register today!! I have a couple of questions that I was hoping some of you might know the answer to...I apologize if these have already been asked, I don't have time to read through the entire thread right now.

1. Where on the runDisney website do you go to register? (I want to be extra prepared, haha)

2. I have to register both myself and my sister, with separate info. Is there any reason this should be a problem?

3. How does it work to register as a team? Does one person sign up, or both, or what?

4. Another family member wants to purchase one of the spectator packages. Does she have to purchase it with one of our registrations, or can this be done at a later time?

Thanks so much in advance for any help!!!
