Donna: Keep an eye on the boards for a WISH shirt order. This is the first year for the Princess half and the shirts and hat order start sometime at the beginning of Fall in order to get it together and then shipped to everyone by the big Marathon weekend in Jan. This is done by people in the group and all done as a volunteer thing.
In the Sticky at the top of the Events/Competition section of Wish is the introduction to the team and the names of those that do the orders and also a link to the logos from Sunny.

So in answer to your quesiton is no, not at this time and probably wouldn't have time to do one yourself. The site www.raceready.com is where we get the tanks, t-shirt, v-neck shirts and trail shirts from in the lime green. You could always buy one of those and try to put your own stuff or iron on WISH logo on it.

Three weeks from now I will be settled in at ASMo, ready for the Princess 5K in the morning:cool1: :woohoo: :cool1:

Its so exciting to hear everyone getting in their long runs and Disney planning (Caitsmomma - that is so neat what you are doing for you family) Isn't it great to go those distances you NEVER thought you would ever do???

jyl189 - thanks I didn't see it when I skimmed the email - must not have been looking too good. Thanks

Joan- That is so exciting that you daughter got in her 10 miler and she was so happy - its a great feeling.

WISH shirts - I have a WISH Raceready tank I wore it only one time at the Minnie 15k and it was great getting all the encouragement from other WISHer's but for whatever reason I don't feel comfortable wearing it. I could let someone borrow it if the person borrowing it would be willing to wash it (of course) and mail it back to me afterwords. It is a L - PM me if interested.

As for me - I am sure I posted before about it but to identify myself as a WISHer I am going to iron the green Mickey head nametag Caitsmomma was so kind to make us onto a fuschia Champion running shirt that looks like a tshirt. Hopefully that will be enough to identify me - I tend to feel more comfortable yelling out to other WISHer's but that is just me. I am hoping to get my shirt decorated today or tomorrow so I will post a pic when done. My training on the other hand has been not very much- I guess I am going into this 1/2 knowing I just did the full and I am kinda burned out from the getting up early every Saturday, going to bed early on Friday night etc. etc. So I am kinda slacking in the training but I know I can go the distance. I am trying to pull myself off the couch to go do at least an 7-8 miler (I am all dressed) I guess the sooner I get up and get going the sooner I will be done.

Awhile ago Disney sent me an email saying that I had to verify my gender and something else because there was some mix up. I forgot about the email and now I can't find it!

I went to print off my waiver today and it says I'm not in the system?!? Everyone else in my family is but me! Also, where are peope finding their bib numbers?

Thanks. :confused3

Bib numbers are on the waiver.

try eventinfo@trackshack.com, they have a website trackshack.com. Find the contact area, you may find a phone number in which you could call, which maybe a faster way to handle the issue.

Well, i did it!! I finished my 10 miles in 2:26:10. I will take that!
I think it was stupid on my part though, to whip out my new sneaks for the 10 miler.. lol. I mean, they are comfy, but around mile 5 i started feeling rubbing on my heels, but it wasn't excruciating pain or anything, not enough even to really bother me much..
But, when i took off my sneaks after, i have 2 blisters (one on each foot, in the same place) where my outside of my heels are - not gross - bloody blisters, just the start of them though.. so i know they will spring up today.. :(
I have these sneaks already, so i know they work for me, and i probably should have used them to break in during my smaller w/o's - 4 milers.
The only other thing i can think of - is i put my gel inserts from my old sneaks in to my new ones (which naturally the new sneaks are not as "streched" out as my old ones) and i think that may have contributed to it all - since my inserts tend to ride up the side of the shoe a lil' bit, they don't just lay totally flat on the bottom.. so i pulled them out for now, and see what happens. I just may end up buying a new pair of inserts for the new shoes next week.

Also, i am thinking body glide/vasaline would have helped, i didn't have any thing on my feet like that.

But, i did my miles. LOL :)

Any advice??

:cheer2: for your miles and time, and getting up that early!!!
Sorry I can't help with theshoe advice, but I know others will.
I'm stuck waiting for the fog to lift so that I can go outside to train.

Way to go Stacey!! :cheer2: How awesome that you simulated race conditions as best as possible by getting yourself to bed and then up at about the time we will really be doing the race!

Sorry to hear about the blisters. I guess that advice is sound--break new shoes in slowly. I imagine when your old shoes were new you did not start them out with 10 miles!!

I am resting today. After my return from NY I have done my 100 minute workout on the TM on Wed. Thur. and Fri.--almost 7 miles Wed and Thur and only 6 yesterday as I had a "funny feeling" in my knee and I did not run, only went 4mh max. I will get my long workout in tomorrow--3 hours. Looks like I will have decent weather to go outside. I should probably rest on Monday too, but I think that will be difficult...

Good job Stacey! Way to go!!!

SIL and I will do 10 tomorrow... I hope everything holds up! My right ankle is still bothering me, and I'm still getting over the double ear infection and bronchitis. I told my SIL I am determined to do the 10, but I may just be slow. Main thing is to get in the steps!

Good job everyone! In exactly 3 weeks, those of us doing the 5K will have just finished and be eating a nice breakfast! :woohoo:

Though some of us will be heading over to the EXPO...for the 2nd time! I know I want to go on Friday when I get in, but my friend doesn't arrive until about 10 on Friday night, so we'll have to go back...:headache:

First off wahoo for your 10 miles  :cheer2:  :cheer2:
Ok i really don't qualify for advice giving, but i had real burning under me feet when started to wear orthotics and since covering the soles of my feet in glide that's disappeared til quite late in the run and i haven't had any under foot blisters. How on earth you apply glide to tops of toes i don't know!

I got out and did my first 12 miles this morning. Even got up 2 hours before to make sure could eat all my breakfast (i eat quite a bit!). Took 1 hour 50 mins and i hit 11 miles at exactly the same time as last week :rotfl: Ooooh it's really soon now. Can't wait to meet you all.

:woohoo: Stacey

:woohoo: smileyk8

I did 2 miles today, I am set to do 6 tomorrow. My schedule seems to be different from everyone else's. I do 6 then 9 then 10 the week before the half. Today I did great on my time, I did a 14 minute mile on the tm and then decided to head outside. My time outside was 13 minutes. :dance3: It was so much easier outside which I thought would be harder. If I can keep up a 13 minute mile then I will finish just under 3 hours!! Ok, I doubt I will be able to keep that up but it gives me hope!

I was able to get out and struggle through a 8.25 miler - I forgot to take an ibuprofen and my shoulder started hurting (its something that always bothers me on long distances and if I take 2 ibuprof before I go I am usually good) So I walked alot more then I would have liked. I did do the 8.25 in 1 hour and 50 mins so I guess not too too bad!!

Hope everyone has a nice Valentine's Day - my DH got me the Steam Buddy thing I wanted at Walgreens and a heart shaped bamboo for my desk. I was bad and didn't get him anything but then again it just was his bday on Monday and I got him a nice orchid (it looks just like the very first one he ever bought many years ago - he is great with plants including orchids)

I just did the distance:cool1: but I had problems!!!!
My pit crew where ment to be behind me, but they thought that they would take a short cut and meet up with me, but I had a break down!!!!! 1:20h later they drive around and find me!!!!!
If I take the waiting time out of my total I am around the 1:30h time.
They will not be taking a short cut again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh no! I would have kill them!!!! sorry to hear that Syko and hope your equipment is fix and running, congratulations getting the distance accomplish

Bib number 3603 and DD's is 3604. I guess this is really happening! You'll be able to recognize us. We have "This seemed like a good idea three months ago" on the front of our shirts. It sounded very appropriate. We have "Race official. Do not pass" on the backs. I am hoping that keeps the sweepers away from me!

Meg

That's funny!!!! :rotfl2:

I early morning fog lifted, and I evently got out, just 2 hours later than normal. I was slightly faster today, 14m in 1:33. I just wish there where not so many stop signs!!!!
I am racing tomorrow, against cyclists, but at least its race experience.

When is everyone arriving at WDW?
