What are some of your favorite things to do at night when the parks close early (ish), like by 8 and you have the rest of the night? I know we always have Epcot until 9, but what about other ideas?

Any places you frequent, good hotels to visit at night?

I'm open to all suggestions! :)

Far and away my favorite evening time activity (outside the parks) is hitting the quite pools/hot tubs at Saratoga or Old Key. After 9pm they get very quiet and by 10pm, we are usually the only ones there. Very peaceful, very relaxing after a day at the parks.

We too are looking for things to do at night - we used to go to POFQ to see Elliot Dyson perform at the Scat Cat Club Wed thru Sat nights - but he was let go. We liked going there because we could dance on the sides and he played 4 different sax. the flute, keyboard, steel drums, guitar and sang, and had some great audience interaction plus he remembered you. We went to see the new performer, but he didn't have the magic and personality that we came to expect with Elliot. So on our last trip, we actually got to bed early as we couldn't find anyplace in Disney with the same style entertainment and dancing space.

We might try Jellyrolls one night. Dueling pianos sound fun!

I can't be in my room before 10, if anything I'll haunt my hotel's bar. :rotfl:

Traveling with a group of young adults this time so we are also trying to find evening activities. Most of them usually are up until 2 am or 3 am.

We won't have a car so the best I can come up with are DTD things (shopping, dining, movies, Disney Quest) or hanging out by the pools at the resort.

I would prefer to keep them out of the resort (OKW) as much as I can out of respect for other people who won't be staying up until the wee hours of the morning. But Disney does seem to have a minimal night life anymore.

We always make a point of seeing Bob Jackson. He is at the River Roost Lounge ant PORiverside. He put s on a great show.

Another option would be go to BoardWalk to see the buskers, and other entertainment there, such is the Dance Hall, Jelly Rolls, or the Sports bar, ESPN.

I'm old now (40 ;)), if I stayed out until 2 am at Disney, I can guarantee I wouldn't be at the parks the next day until 2 pm. :rotfl:

I want to be asleep by midnight at latest so we can get up for the early mornings.

Well, I usually like going for a late-night swim, but apparently the resort pools are no longer 24 hours, soooo...I'm not sure what I'm going to do! Go to sleep? hahaha :rotfl: I might be checking out Territory Lounge!

My family either plans a late dinner (8:00 pm ADR) and that usually finishes up around 10:00 pm (Signature dinner, so longer meal).

Otherwise, we head over to DTD because there is a fair amount to do. The stores are open fairly late every night and there might be some entertainment offerings.

You could also do some resort touring. The lobby areas are open all of the time (the stores might close around 10 or 11 pm). AKL is a great resort to visit and they have a night vision viewing area which is pretty fun.

I usually go to DTD a couple of times when the parks close early. There are a couple of good bars that I stop in (the one by Raglan Road and Bongos) and I go shopping.

Don't forget about Splitsville - I may check that out next just for the bars.

We will do a tour of resorts and head to DTD and walk around there then go for a swim or even head over to fort wilderness for the campfire and movie. You can buy a smores making kit for use during the movie.

We usually like to head to DTD. We have walked around the boardwalk, you have there the ESPN club, flying fish cafe, jellyrolls is fun, they have dueling pianos. There is also a nice little lounge in the Yatch club called the crews cup. Its right next to yatchman's steakhouse. Its really nice and relaxed.

Take them to DTD. Make a reservation for Planet Hollywood at like 9pm. Its gets busy and its like a big party late at night.

Another night, you can try going to splitsville. Its a bowling alley but its huge and has a couple of floors. They have a ton of bars, bowling, video games, etc.

We usually eat late - never before 8, but we don't eat early at home either, then we like to hit the BlueZoo for a few drinks as we almost always stay at the Swolphin or this time at the YC, so its just a few minutes walk. Sometimes we stop at Atlantic Dance Hall.

We love the very late EMHs! A few cocktails at a resort and then riding Jungle Cruise in the dark? Yes, please!

We're up early, stay out late, nap by the pool in the mid day type folks:)

The bar right out on the walkway at splitsville is awesome. They make great drinks. The way drinks are supposed to be made with the right amount of booze. They don't water stuff down. And its a nice atmosphere. If you don't feel like staying there, you can walk around with your drink too

Thanks all!

I think we will schedule a late dinner, go a night for cocktails/appetizers and BlueZoo, have some wine on the verandah at Beach Club some nights, maybe Jellyrolls.

It's just we have 9 nights and I don't want to spend every night at Epcot. :) But I don't think it will be a problem.

AMC fork and screen- nice theater, good food, big comfy seats... we go every trip. We really enjoy it. We go a half hour early, which is when they let you in, so we can order our food, aps, drinks and be pretty far along before the movie starts.

Actually have never gone when the parks close early. But we are late nighters so that's one thing we like about peak weeks. Always a park until at least midnight.

But even then it's usually drinks somewhere, a few of us walk around and take pics as a small hobby.

There's nightly karaoke at Kimonos at the Swan. We made a super-late night there once, and it was fun.
