Background: SAHM w/ two boys, 6 yrs. w/ ADHD and 3 1/2 yrs. w/ high functioning autism (poss. gifted too). DH is in Army (NOT in the Middle East thank goodness!)
Typical day:
4:30 AM Alarm goes off, DH gets ready for work, most days I get up and make coffee and pack DH some lunch.
5:00-7:00 do little things around house before the chaos begins, start b'fast for the boys.
6:15-7:00 older DS usually wanders downstairs sometime here on non-school days. About 7 or so I go up and open younger DSs door (we have to keep his door secured at night to keep him from wandering in the middle of the night, he doesn't do it often but every now and then... and when he does he usually makes quite a mess... ask me sometime about Poo-caso.)
7:00 until 9:00 breakfast/tv(Noggin usually)/general stuff.
9:00 until younger DS gets too fussy Speech work and other Autism related things. Older DS sometimes helps out, but usually just goes and entertains himself best as he can.
10:00 off to the grocery store or whatever errands need to be done (like hitting my local scrapbook shop for goodies
12:00(ish) lunch
After lunch until 2:00PM play time, movies (or Cirque Du Soliel w/ younger DS is enamored w/.) more therapy for younger DS if I can get him to cooperate, older DS often uses this time to do some chores or read or practice his writing so he can earn time on the playstation.
2:00 NAP for younger DS. Older DS and I use this time to do more chores, play, watch a "big kid" flick, hang out... y'know QT for us... Sometimes he plays games on the TV or goes outside and I get a chance to sit and scrapbook.
4:00 start rousting younger DS, DH usually gets home, and I go to the gym.
5:30 Make dinner unless DH did it while I am at gym (he does that fairly often)
6:00 (ish) Dinner and family social time, we talk about our day and such.
After dinner until 7:30 is family time, sometimes I just tackle the kids on my own to let DH have "him time." (Means he's on the 'puter mostly LOL!). We do bath time in here and stuff like that.
7:30 teeth and stories! (I read to the lads every night, right now we're reading the latest Potter novel and elder DS picks one book to read to us.)
8:00 Kids are down! (hopefully) and I get to watch some grown up TV (like CSI!) or DH and I spend QT together.
10:00 Bed... and so it goes...
Of course when school starts things will be different...
