Hello everyone!
i was just on the thread about the tackiest things ever seen at a buffet and this subject came up........
and when you read this, it is in NO WAY a judgement, a complaint, just a request or maybe an enlightenment! NO FLAMES PLEASE!
there are some disney fans who are vegetarians, including myself. a lot of times when we go to buffets- we notice (secretly) some people will use the spoon for some food that has meat in it- then use the SAME spoon for something that DOES NOT have meat (something i can eat)
i totally understand that if are not a veg- why would you even think about something like this......i dont think people look around and say-- hey who eats meat and who doesnt?
people are vegetarians for different reasons and some may not mind the "cross contamination" if it is just that they dont eat meat for health reasons, but some of use dont eat meat for ethical reasons
and do not eat anything that has touched any kind of meat product- we dont even want it on our plate.
i also read on the other thread that this could be an issue for people with food allergies.
i know sometimes it could be the buffet's fault for not supplying enough utensils, or one happens to get lost--or stolen (if you read the other thread about tackiest things seen at a buffet you will know why i said that
)
but all i am suggesting is that next time you go to a buffet, think,
hey there might me a veg (or an allergic person) behind me and they want to eat those potatoes that i am about to contaminate
thanks everyone!
