I was a chicken too!! When were there the first time, my husband dragged my then 7yr old onto this ride. He's a scaredy cat like me too. Needless to say, he loved it. I promised myself this time I would go on. I'm nervous and excited at the same time. Luckily I like Aerosmith, so I guess I'll just squeeze my eyes shut and listen to the music! If I don't like it, I don't have to ride it again! You only live once, right?!

wow! thanks for posting this thread hulagirl...you just convinced me to try it with my dh on our Dec trip...my stomach feels nervous now just thinking about it...

Isn't it great when you find that something is fun instead of frightening- Glad you did it and thanks for letting us know. Now we wait for the Everest Ride!

If you could see my picture from the first time you would laugh. I really was terrified. Make a promise to someone you really care about...then, in spite of how you feel when you get there, you'll still do it and you might be surprised at just how much fun you have! I sure did.

You all would have been so proud of hulagirl! It took a little push (okay, maybe a big one) to get through the que. She was very nervous...but once she got off at the end of the ride, her eyes were shiny, skin flushed (not white) and a huge smile was on her face.

Luckily, with the coming of Frances (we were at MGM the Friday before the hurricane), the crowds were low and we hopped right back on RnRC for an encore ride. This time hulagirl could enjoy the pre-show and the entire ride.

It's always a joy to see someone, especially a WDW veteran, enjoy something new.

BTW, hulagirl also rode Space Mountain. A ride she hasn't been on in years at DL and one she never had done at WDW.

After all that, Hurricane Frances had nothing on her!! Here's a big for hulagirl...another WDW thrillrider!
