Calling all Fireman wives!!!

I started another thread on this, it was suggested I mention it here. My dh and I are adopting a little boy, and it will be final on Friday, May 13th! We are very excited that he will legally be our son. He's cute as a bug, I'll make sure to post some pics from the big day!

Congratulations - that is absolutly wonderful news!! I can hardly wait to see photos of him. He is very blessed to be going to such a wonderful family.

The photo you have up is a very nice photo of your family. It's always nice to see faces to people's names. If I knew how to use the computer more, I would share pictures of my family too. Someday I should take a class on how to do more on the computer.

Hello everybody - DH called me at work today and said that the FD had been called to Stephanie's school for a gas leak. He didn't go because he was at work. About an hour later, approx. noon, the school called me and told me to pick her up because students were not allowed back into the school. The middle school is walking distance from her school and they let the students come and eat lunch in their caffeteria - now Stephanie thinks that she is the coolest kid in the world because she got to eat at the middle school.

Outside of that, there is not to much else going on. I gotta run and get Stephanie ready for dance class.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

I hope everyone has a great Mother's Day today. My family is coming over this afternoon and my mom is bringing KFC - we believe that nobody should have to cook today. We are also celebrating my Dad's birthday and my SIL's birthday - it's going to be a fun filled day!!

Hey SLO glad you had a great MOTHERS DAY !

I had a huge cookout for everyone and it was a ton of fun but a ton of work . i love to cook and so I cooked alot of food.


DH goes back to work in the morning so I get the whole bed alone again yeah for me !!!

WOW!! DH goes to work for a few hours on his old shift (covering for someone) and comes home with all these stories!
A married guy ( who we are friends with) has been having an affair with another guys ex wife...Sheesh!! What a mess!!!
DH is on vacation till the end of the month..he has a couple of swaps to pay back from when he was out of town, but it is nice to have him home!

Hi girls,I finally have a chance to chat. It has been real crazy these last few weeks. kinda a murphy's law type of time. First, dh's dad passed on. We had to go to Arizona for a bit. While we were there I lost a diamond out of my wedding set. dh and his sister had a big disagreement. Then when we got back had to go to hershey, PA for last cheer competiton of the year. An hour after we got on the road, our new truck started acting up. We turned around to go get our minivan and the truck completely died. After waiting for a tow and getting back on the road, we finally got the girls to the hotel at 1am.

Hopefully that will be all my misfortune.

The kids are doing good in cheer and lacrosse.

Hello everyone - I've been keeping pretty busy lately and haven't been Dising all that much. Things are pretty good here - I have all my flowers bought and now I'm waiting for good weather to get them all planted. I just love flowers!!!

DH is off this weekend at The Indianapolis Motor Speedway for time trials. He is gone every weekend in the month of May - he loves racing!! So, it's just me and my girls . I promised Stephanie that we would get a cheese pizza (her favorite), watch a movie, and then she can sleep with me. It'll be a nice night!!

Mad4Mickey - It sounds like you had a fun Mother's Day. I really love cookouts too - we always have a big cookout for 4th of July.

DisneyDmbNut - Wow, that story about the married friend having an affair w/ someone else's ex-wife sounds like a story out of a soap opera. I'm glad you were able to have some time with DH.

polly p - I can't believe all the bad luck you've had - unbelievable!!! My sympathies for FIL passing away - how is your DH doing with this? I hope he is okay.

Well I'm going to be on my way. I'm taking my girls to The Home Depot to buy some plants and then we are going to call it a night. I hope everyone is continuing to do well and I'll talk to you all later!!

We've been keeping busy around here now that it is nice outside. I've been working in the yard alot and planting new things.

Tomorrow DH is going to the Indianapolis 500 and will be gone for the day. It should be nice outside and me and the girls will be outside again!!

Well we are all well over here . Derick is taking a break this summer from wrestling , thank God he is just doing camps !

Dh is on shift tonight so it is just me and the dog .
DD is out at a friends graduation party and DS is at a friends .

I am just cruising the boards stalking SLO bawwhahaaaaa and baking a peach cobbler at 11 pm at night . What is wrong with this picture?

Today is my 10th Wedding Anniversay and tomorrow we are going to spend the night in downtown Chicago. I'm really excited. Kevin has a surprise scheduled for me at 1pm and then we are going out to dinner. I'll have to tell you what the surprise is.

Wow! Great to see something all about firefighters! My DH is a 15 year career firefighter and always said he couldn't believe they pay him to do this! We have brought him back almost every Mickey's Fire Department souveneir we can find. He is coming on this trip (woohoo!) and we will be visiting the DD fire station and also touring E-1 (in Ocala). Anyone ever gone there before? Just curious about how long the tour is. Does anyone else's husband trade patches everywhere you travel? ROCK

Rick Springfield was AWSOME . I still have a huge crush on him , he was so close to me I should have just reached up and grabed him . But I was contained this time : )


Disneyland was crowded and it was fun . I dont go in the summer this was the 1st time since I was a kid that I went when it was crowded and now I know why I didnt like it in the summer . The crowds were so bad I was ready to go after about 2 hours . BUt my uncle didnt wanna leave since he had paid for the tickets LOL I stuck it out for about 13 hours and we only road about 7 things it was silly.

Welcome Idroveallnight ! Ya know I thought about asking some of the girls onhere if they wanted to trade patches with my husband .

Thanks for the welcome! Trading patches would be great! He has them from everywhere! They literally cover the walls of his shop. We left one at the Firehouse store at MK. I also found info about a spot called Where's the Fire at Epcot to leave patches.
