Hey Mad4Mickey - just wanted to extend a great big hello to you. I hope all is going well. We just celebrated #2 DD's 1st b-day yesterday and she has turned into such a big girl. Not only has she turned into a big girl, but a really fun girl. What a difference a year can make. It makes me sad to think that she's not a tiny newborn anymore, but at the same time too it makes me happy that she can play, laugh, and somewhat communicate now.

Everything is going well here on the FD. We will be moving soon and DH will have to start responding to a different station which will be a big adjustment for him. He knows all the guys there, but things are just done a little differently over there.

How is everything by you? Are you getting ready for vacation? I'm starting to pack now so I don't forget anything. With us moving at the same time, I have to really be prepared this year for vacation so I don't forget anything. I try to take the attitude that if I forgot something I can always go buy it. But, we stay at the Poly and to leave and go to Goodings for something is kind of a pain in the butt.

Well, I gotta get moving here and start doing some more packing for the move. Now that Katies b-day party is over we can kick it into high gear and really get this packing business over with.

HI SLO Iam so happy to get the update ! I was starting to worry about you . Seems like everyone has wandered off to other threads but I still try to give our thread a little bump here and there .

I hate moving so you have all my extra Pixie Dust for that move for sure.

Enjoy your sweet baby right now cause it is all down hill from here LOL . They start getting little minds of thier own

I am no where near ready for this vacation. I havebeen going back and forth with the girl from IPO making sure she has all my Ps's done .
I cant wait to get back there , DH has had to move stations again , they were short a Medic and so off they sent him . He is workign his extra job right as much as he can so we can buy a lot of Art while we are in WDW . So I only see him about every 2 days . But it will be worth it .

OK go and pack !!!

Hey......I'm a poet and I didn't know it

I just wanted to say a quick hello before I go to bed. Since I talked to you last DD started kindergarten and she absolutly loves it!!! By the second day, she didn't even want me to walk her into the school anymore . My baby is growing up!!!!

We are closing on the house I live in now on Tuesday and then on the new house on Thursday. So for 2 day we don't own a house - pretty weird!!!!

Well I guess that is about it. Nothing is to new on the FD - things have been pretty slow for them.

This week has been the first week I've been on the Dis since November. Between the kids and X-mas I just haven't had the time. Then if I did find some time DH and I spent it watching a movie or TV.

It's so wonderful to see you guys posting. I was so delighted to see this thread still alive and well.

How is everybody???? How was your holiday????
Ours holiday was great in our new house. The kids had a healthy holiday and for my kids that is a big accomplishment.

DH is doing well on the FD. A pretty good FD story:
On thanksgiving we always fry our turkey. DH was heating up our fryer when he got a call for a car accident. Well, he was gone forever because they had to call the Univ. of Chicago medical hospital to take the victims to their hospital. When he came home, the fryer had been heating an hour longer than it should have been. Because of this, when he opened the fryer lid flames shot 6 ft high because the oil had overheated. He ran into the house and got his fire extinguisher and got the flames lower and then put the lid back on. In the meantime, my MIL told my FIL to go home and get the left over turkey breast they made the night before because we now had no turkey to eat because the fryer was dead and it was 6pm - to late to put the turkey in the oven. The point of this story, is I am so glad that Kevin is a Fireman because he had to sense to put the fryer in the middle of the yard away from the house in case an accident would happen. He also had an idea something bad would happen with the overheated oil and wore his nomax (spelled wrong I'm sure) gloves so he wouldn't get burned. So, this was our Thanksgiving - quite eventful!!!

Well, again I was so thrilled to see you guys on this thread. I hope everyone is doing well and I look forward to seeing more of you guys. I will check in hopefully alot more often than what I have been. Talk to you guys really soon!!

Everybody is doing great!!!

Stephanie is in kindergarten and she is loving every minute of it. She's learning a lot and I am realizing that my DH and are not going to be able to spell things we don't want her to hear for much longer .

Katie is in the 1 year room at day care and ever since she has been there I have not received any phone calls for me to pick her up early because she is sick. She has had her share of colds - but nothing horrible like she had last year. She is starting to talk now and she is starting to grow up so fast. She eats more than any child I have ever seen in my whole life - so she is definitly not malnurished.

We are totally moved into our new house and now Kevin is finishing the basement. So that keeps him busy almost everynight.

How's everything with you???? I have thought of you quite a bit - I was wondering how your vacations were and how your holidays were.

Well I will talk to you soon - I have to get ready for work. As a rule I never go on the computer before work - the computer just happened to be here and it was on. So I thought "Hmmmmm I'm going to check the Dis" and look there you were . So Good Morning - and I hope you have a good day. We have freezing rain here so I am going to have to leave home a little earlier today to get Stephanie to school.

How is the new house SLO?? We got moved in on Dec 10th. It was great to be in the new house before Christmas..

The new house is great - Thank you for asking DisneyDmbNut. We went from a Bi-level to a Quad-level. We have a lot more space and I am loving every minute of it.

So you moved too. Are you in the same town or a different town? What kind of house do you have now? Moving really stinks doesn't it - but it's so nice when it's done.

Is your DH a volunteer or a full timer? You may have said in a previous post and I just don't remember. My DH is a volunteer and when we moved, we moved to the same town just a different side of town. So now he has to respond to a different station and that is a big adjustment to him.

Well, it's 10pm and I am off to bed to start a new day tomorrow. Goodnight and talk to you later!!
