Karen - Wow, I didn't know it got that cold by you I thought it was always warm/hot, and you never really needed jackets. I guess I didn't know that much about your area
*The dance was fun, but it was so cold outside. I was glad to come home.

I just went upstairs and Katie is already up It's much to early for that. I told her to stay in bed because her shows aren't even on yet. I guess she'll be going to down for a nap at work early today

Our cold doesn't last, though. We usually have a cold day or two and then back to the forties/fifties. It's generally pretty mild in the winter.

It's 5 degrees outside this morning, and I'm not looking forward to going outside while Stephanie waits for the bus This month seems like it's moving at the speed of SUPER SLOW, but I always think that in the winter


Karen - It's good your cold temps don't last very long. I wish I could say the same thing here. Katie did go down for an early nap, but then a customer came in to just ask some questions, and she was talking so loud, that she woke her up. So she only slept about 45 minutes. Needless to say, she went to bed early last night

Brrr.......Brrr........Brr.........!!!!! It's -3 degrees right now!!
I hate these super cold mornings on school days - it stinks to go outside for Stephanie to catch the bus. Thankfully, we don't have to be outside for to long, because I watch for the bus behind my house, and when I see it, I tell Stephanie to run like the wind to the bus stop. Then we are only outside for about 2-3 minutes

I need to go get ready to go out into the frozen tundra

TGIF to you too, sandy!

We went to the parade last night and had a great time! We only watched it one time so we could get home for bedtime. Jim pulled one of the floats so he was home much later. Tomorrow is Senior Bowl and Jim and James will go to the stadium early to tailgate. Lots of my family goes so it turns out to be a very fun day. Emily & I will take to shuttle a little later in the morning. Just FYI Senior Bowl is like a scouting bowl game. They invite seniors from lots of schools (North vs. South) and practice for a week or so and then play. All the NFL scouts come and it's a lot of fun. It's been around since the 60's (I think). They also use it as a bigh charity event. So that will be our focus tomorrow.

Emily has school cheerleader tryouts next Friday! Jim is taking her to a private tumbling lesson today to help her prepare. I think her chances are good of making it again, but I want her to be ready! We have also decided to join an All Star team again. Tryouts for that will probably be in May.

Well, I am off to work - somebody has to drive house to house making babies cry!

So, what is everyone doing today????
Today we are just hanging out at home - I love that!!! I don't love winter, but I do love the fact that there's very little going on, and that forces us to stay home and enjoy each other's compay. Plus it gives us all a chance to slow down for a day Because once the weather breaks, and it's nice out again, we'll all be busy, or feel we should be busy, because we shouldn't be home and inside on a nice day.

Kevin is making dinner tonight - Chicken Fajitas
He already made the guacomole last night, and it was very hard to not dig in right when I came home from work. But I was good, and didn't touch it

Good Morning!

We had a great weekend. Saturday we tailgated in the rain, but it was still fun. Sunday was beautiful!! Not a cloud in the sky & 60 degrees. I had to go see one patient and then I took the kids to an afternoon parade. I convinced them to skip the one last night - we were all pretty tired! Emily has cheer clinic after school. We will go to the parade tonight because this is the one my boss in is & I am taking her kids so they can see her! I know, I know - twist my arm!!

Hi all!!

I just tried cutting something with the wrong side of a razor blade, and I cut my finger instead Ouch!!! It hurts, and it's bleeding alot. So....that tells me it's time to stop working today Pretty soon I need to make the girls and I some supper, and then we leave for home at 7pm. It's been a long day, and I'll be glad to have it over.

Yes it is - thanks for asking!!
In my line of work, getting cut is part of the job. In fact, me asking people if they mind getting cut, is even a part of my interview process Because if someone says, "yes", than this is not the job for them

The whole thing was a stupid mistake, and it's something I haven't done in many many years. The girls were distracting me, and I just didn't think Luckily, razor blade cuts usually heal really fast, because it's always a nice clean cut

I'm posting later than normal, because Stephanie has a 2 hour school delay due to very bad weather last night (GMA just got done talking about it). It is so cold outside (wind chill like -30), and Kevin thinks that school will end up cancelling, but I don't know about that. I guess we'll soon find out

sandy - No weather extremes like that here! So did school cancel yesterday? We are going to have rain today. Hopefully it will start later rather than sooner so I don't get rained on all day!

Well, next week is Fat Tuesday which will bring the Mardi Gras season to a close. We haven't done as many parades this year, but it has still been fun!

Emily has her last day of cheer clinic today. Tryouts are tomorrow after school. She is going to bring a couple of friends home tonight and I am going to take them to the gym to practice. Hopefully all will go well tomorrow!

How is everyone today?
I'm at work having lunch, and having some quiet time while Katie is taking a nap in my office. I love Tuesdays and Thursdays when she comes with me to work - it's so great having her here!!

We just found out the date for Stephanie's first communion, and it's April 26th. I can't believe it - my baby is making her first communion (2 smilies for that one). So I'm starting to make some arrangements, and I can't get over how much this day is going to cost us, but I keep telling myself it's a once in a lifetime event for her, and I want it to be super special!!!!


Karen - I can't believe next Wednesday is Ash Wednesday Before you know it, Easter will be here I'm actually not a fan of Easter this early - it's still to cold out around here

Good Morning and TGIF!!! I took off Monday & Tuesday so it's a four day weekend for me! We have a hotel room to stay downtown for the parades Mon & Tuesday. We are going to help my dad run a sailboat race Sunday, so it looks like I will have to do any lounging and relaxing on Saturday!

I took Emily and several other girls trying out to the gym last night to practice. They look good. They tryout at 4pm, so I guess I will get to the school after work and wait!! I will let ya'll know how it goes!
