The details on the children are sketchy at best right now. They are still searching for the bodies. They were all 3 and under. The baby was only 4 mos - they didn't even have a picture of him yet! I just makes me so upset. Of course, it is the only thing on the news here, so I just turned off the tv last night until all the news was over.

kathy - I hate that you have to go in for a simple errand on your day off!

sandy - That's great about being able to leave the store! Have things settled down for you there?

It's Friday!!!! :cool1:
I just love the fact that I don't have to rush Stephanie off to school tomorrow - it's one less thing that I have to think about while getting myself ready for work :) Plus I can sleep a couple of hours longer :teeth:

Kathy - My business did well over the holidays (thanks for asking), but it's doing very poorly right now. I have very little business, and the bills keep coming - it's really stressing me out:headache:

Karen - I'm surprised our news hasn't said anything about that news story. I guess they can't cover everything, but this story seems major!!!!
**Things have slowed down at the store like I ran into a brick wall - I'm praying I get some business soon.

Well, it's time to get this day started
Have a good day today!!

Last night we watched a movie called Firehouse Dog (I think it was in the theaters last summer), and it was cute. Good for all families!!!! :thumbsup2

Well, I'm off to get ready for work
Have a good day today everyone!!

Hey everybody! We are having a lazy day around the house. I haven't even taken off my pjs! I have done the dishes and have been working on laundry. Emily spent the night with a friend and James has been playing back & forth with the neighbors.

They have found the body of one of the children. They have been searching since Tuesday. I can't imagine how tired the search teams must be. They showed a clip on the news of the family bringing food to the searchers. Understandably, the mom hasn't been out of the house.

Karen - Don't you love days like those!!!! That's how I was on New Years Day - it was great!!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes
**Did the news say why the dad threw those kids off the bridge?

We have nothing huge planned for today :sad2:
We are taking down the living room Christmas tree, and putting away the rest of the Christmas decorations. As much as I love the tree, it will be good to have it down, and out of the way of the window.

Have a great day today everyone!!

The weekend went by to fast!!!! :guilty:

Tonight is the night we go see Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana:cool1:
Stephanie and her friend are so excited!!!!:yay: :yay:
It should be a fun night!!!!! :)

Yesterday I hurt my big toe while putting away the Christmas decorations.
I accidentally rammed the Christmas tree box into my toe (after it was full and very heavy) pushing the nail back, while trying to get it into the attic to Kevin. It really hurts, and the nail has already turned grey/black. I've done this before with the same toe, and I did end up losing the nail. Now I'm praying with the masses of people tonight that no one steps on it, because that would really hurt!!!!!:guilty:

Well, the shower is calling me
Have a good day today everyone!!!

slo - how was the concert????? I bet ya'll had a fantastic time! Did anyone step on your toe?

They have found 2 of the children's bodies and the search will continue. They haven't said anyting about motive, just that the mom & dad had a fight.

I hate getting back to the grind. The only time I left the house/yard this weekend or even took off jammies was to run to Dollar General last night to get James some replacement school supplies. Of course, this is less than a 2 minute drive! It was a very relaxed weekend!

I woke up with some partial hearing loss this morning after all those screaming girls at the Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus concert last night  The concert was really good, and Stephanie had a wonderful time (what a great childhood memory for her!!!). It was a nice night!!!! :goodvibes

Here are the cliff notes from last night....................
*The opening act was Aly & AJ, and they were very good (I do like there music)
*Hannah Montana came out with a great entrance, and she sung her heart out (what a talented kid). With all the controversary swarming her with that body double, she made sure that every time she went back stage to change she announced that her dancers were taking over, and she had to go change (the singing from her didn't continue, so she didn't lip sync).
*After Hannah was done, she announced that she was going back stage again, and she was backstage for quite some time. Then they announced that Miley was coming, and out came Miley Cyrus. She sang for a long time too, and she also brought Aly & AJ back out on stage to sing with her. It was great!!! :thumbsup2
*The lighting for the show was great, and there were some fireworks they also lit off - it was very very exciting for the girls!!!!!:yay:

Karen - No one stepped on my toe (I was very protective of it) but when I came home it was not in good shape, it was starting to bleed :confused3 I think the nail is going to come off more sooner than later:guilty: So I cute the nail down real short, and put a bandaid on it. We'll see how it is before I go into the shower:rolleyes:
*I'm glad you had a relaxed weekend :goodvibes I just love those!!!!

Well, I gotta run and get ready for work
Have a good day today everyone!!

sandy - I am glad ya'll had a great time! Sarah remembers going to see NSync!!

Have a super day!!

Have a super day!!

I never got into the boy bands, but I know people that really loved them.
How old was she when she saw them?
Did you go with her, or did she go with a friend?
If you did go, did they put on a good show?

Not to much going on around here - just working!!!

Have a good day today!!

sandy - we had so much fun going to see Nsync! The 1st time was Sarah's 12th bday. I tokk her & 2 friends and told them we were going to the water park at the Gulf. The concert was in New Orleans (the opposite way) one of the girls noticed at the Louisiana state line! I pulled in at the first rest area and acted all upset, then I handed them their tix! They kept squealing & squealing! It was a lot of fun. The show was really good. I took her with friends again a couple of years later and still had fun. The last concert I took her to was Justin by himself, Christina Aguilera was at that too. They were all fun! I just really enjoyed seeing them have fun!

It has been really busy at work and I am getting tired! I haven't had an official lunch in more than 7 days. I eat, it's just as I drive from stop to stop! We get comp time for it, but I would love to just sit somewhere for an hour, maybe have a chat with someone! I did and hour and 45 minutes worth of charting at home last night! Next week won't be so bad.

Proud parent moment - Emily has decided to sign her chastity vow, so Jim & I agreed to get her a ring. The idea being she will wear it until she swaps it for a wedding ring. She & I stopped in at a jewlery party last night and she found one she liked. It's non traditional, but really pretty - sterling sliver with a pearl. When it comes in I will probably get her to have Father Zoghby bless it. I figure the more people who know what it means, the more support she will have for her decision!

Have a super day everyone!!

:surfweb:

Karen - How awesome about Emily signing a chastity vow, and the idea of the ring is a great idea!!!! Did you think of this yourself, or did you hear of this somewhere? Also, is the chastity vow something through your church, or is this something you and Jim are doing on your own? I don't blame you for being proud, this a great thing she is doing!!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes
**I agree about enjoying watching your kids be excited. This is one of the reasons why we keep taking them to all the Disney ice shows - I love seeing them have fun!!!!!:yay: :yay:

Well, that's about it from me
I gotta get going early today, because Katie and I need to deliver some frames to a local casino. Have a good day today!!!

I got the idea for the chastity ring from a Mother/Daughter tea at one of our parrishes. SHe actually got the card for her vow through her school. They do a week long program with speakers from a local teen pregnancy shelter and then they offer them the cards for the vow.

It finally quit raining here! It rained the entire day yesterday! Have a great day!

That's great that the school has the speakers come in, and hands out the cards. I bet these speakers really help the kids understand how a baby, at an early age, is not a good thing :sad2: Now, who gets the card after it's signed? Does it go to the school, to you, or church? I find this very interesting, and I hope my girls have something like this to sign someday.

It's so cold here - I don't want to outside :cold:
Tomorrow it's going to be a high of 7 :cold:, and I have a dance to go to tomorrow night. I'm so not in the mood with it being so cold :cold: I just want to be in my flannels, and be under a blanket :)

Have a good day!!

sandy - the kids keep their cards. Hopefully the vow remains intact and they can give it to their spouse on their wedding night!

It's going to get cold here agian - but not that cold!!! I wouldn't want to go out either! I am not so much a fan of the cold!

Have a great day!

Tonight Kevin and I are going to a Chamber of Commerce dance. I'm really not in the mood because it's going to 0 degrees out tonight (I don't like being out in bitter cold). I'm sure the dance will be fun, I just wish it wasn't going to be so cold.

Karen - That's great that Emily can keep the card :)
Do you have to work this weekend?

Well, I gotta go partially get ready for this dance, and then go to work
Have a good day today!!

I am off this weekend!

The first Mardi Gras parade of our season was last night, but we didn't go! I worked a little late and we couldn't get down there in time. James was really bummed! Jim & I took him to Picklefish for pizza and then to Target to spend his Christmas gift cards. He bought some stuff for the Wii. There is another parade this afternoon and one tonite. But... it is raining and cold!!!! So we may skip it. We are going to play it by ear!

Sandy - have fun at your dance tonite!! Just stay warm! Jim and I are going to a draw down in Feb. I am hoping for some dancing there!

It's -5 degrees here right now  :cold:  :cold:
We are DEFINITLY staying in all day today!!

Karen - I can't believe it's Mardi Gras season already - time really flies!!!
I don't blame you for not going out on a cold, rainy day - I wouldn't either :sad2:
**What's a draw down?

Have a good day today!!

Yesterday was very lazy day around here - it was awesome!!!! :goodvibes

Today will be a little warmer around here with a high of 24 degrees :cold:

Well, I gotta run and get ready for work
Have a good day today!!!

Good Morning!

It is 23 here now, but will be in the 50's this afternoon.

Mardi Gras has begun! We made it to the parade Saturday night. We had a good time! Mardi Gras coincides with Lent (Fat Tuesday) so it is really early this year!

Sandy - how was your dance? A draw down is a fundraiser. You buy your tickets and they provide dinner, drinks, dancing. The focus of the evening is the prize - cash. They draw tickets out and the last one in wins. They usually have some other prizes along the way. They are usually pretty fun, we never win! My niece Haley's softball program is hosting this one to raise money for the upcoming season.

Have a great day - stay warm!!!
