My DH already TOOK Off the week before the Superbowl just so he can go to all the Eagles Rally's and Wingbowl. He was so out of control last night. He was on Broad Street (Broad & Shunk St.) popping champagne in the intersection with everyone cheering. It was a great night! What a party on Broad Street!!!

I honestly can't wait for this to be over with. I remember all too well what happened the last 3 years when they finally lost. All the fans that cheered them and praised them were calling the team names that I can't even type here! I don't know why 'fans' are so fickle.......if any of the ones who will be blasting the team when they lose can do any better, I'd like to see them make the team.

I'm guessing you are not a die hard fan, if a fan at all. If you were, like me, you would need a way to vent your heartbreak. You invest a lot of time and emotion if you are die hard. And they didn't just get beat the last two years, they got KILLED.

don't you hear that every game?? the announcers are ALWAYS talking up whatever team plays the Eagles. Did you watch the last couple of regular season games they played? [/SIZE]

Ya, I know. It's so bad that usually my DH mutes the TV and we watch the game listening to FM 94.1 on the stereo!! I guess it just got to me more than usual yesterday bc the team has been through so much to get to where they were. They played so well and yet those chumps couldn't find a postitive thing to say about them. After one of the touchdowns Collingsworth said, "If it weren't for that Falcons penalty the Eagles would have never scored there." Even after the win Aikman said, "In just a short while reality will set in and they will realize that they still have one more game to win!" Sure, don't let us savor the moment after all these years of waiting.....go right ahead and try to squelch any joy we were feeling!

Oh well, we got the last word on Sunday, January 23, 2005!
