Calling all DLR and U.S. Califonia AP holders please help us decide which day is better to go to U.S. the choices are Sunday Oct 26th or Monday Oct 27th.

Are some of the rides and shows closed on Mondays? we will go to DLR/DCA on one day and U.S. the other day and its our frist trip to DL please help

we arrive Friday the 24th an are going to Huntington Beach and October Fest thing Sat ealry entry at DLR/DCA
Sun and Mon either US or DLR/DCA...we need info for which day would be best to go to US
Tues we are at DLR/DCA an that night M ToT Party, Wen at Sea World , Thurs at SD Zoo and go home

I would say to go to DL on Sun and US on Mon. Usually crowds for DL is the same for Sundays and Mondays, but US should be less crowded on Mondays. And everything should be open unless otherwise noted.

Thanks for the input...how often do you get to go?

If you are only going to Disneyland 1 day go on a Sunday. Longer park hours and fireworks!:thumbsup2 Go to U.S. on Monday! Or Skip U.S. all together and go 2 days in DL and DCA!:thumbsup2

we are booking the Southern California package...3 days at DLR/DCA... one day at each of the following Universal Studios, Sea World , S.D. Zoo and my main question to the people that go all the time is which day would be best to go to U.S. either Sun or Mon. Sorry I dodnt make that clear.

Yes ....U S in particular...Ive not been to either of them

I have been to them both many times and I actually visited them both last week! You can basically do US in a day, but you might want to pick out some things you really want to do for DLR.
I brought my friend w/ me to US for her first time and we did everything except for Jurassic Park and House of Horrors bc we didn't want to get wet and bc we don't like getting scared. :goodvibes

Sounds like I would like both of those you didnt go on. ... I cant wait...this will be my first trip to the west coast

I agree with the others have said, do US on Monday. We went there on a weekday and it wasn't crowded at all. Some rides only had a 5 minute wait. The only long one we encountered was the Simpson ride, it was like 45 minutes! My DH got pretty motion sickness from that one. They LOVED Jurrasic Park though.

We saw everything probably in 5-6 hours. Doesn't take long really. It was fun, but no DL! ;)

Do you remeber anything being closed down due to it being a weekday? That is our main concern ...that maybe some of the shows or rides might be dark on Monday?

Not an AP holder, but have a planning suggestion for you! Seeing you are tight for time, why not do your early entry to Disneyland Sunday, then swap over for opening at DCA, which will be a little less crowded than DL during the day. Then you can do Dl on Tuesday which will be quieter!

If you do decide to do this , read hydroguy's tips. (and remember to pick up a FP for disneyland as you leave)

On entering DCA, pick up a GRR fp and an Fp for whatever else appeals - probably soarin would be the best bet. If you are supermotivated, you can always pop back into DL whenyour time window is up and pick up another FP for later in the day there too.

Hi does anyone know if U.S. has anything special related to Halloween going on during Oct.?

They usually have their Halloween Horror Nights in October, but I didn't see anything on their site about it yet. Although USO already has it on their site. I've never been to it, I'd probably get too freaked out. But Knott's is supposed to be pretty good.

Thanks...I use to work in the March of Dimes Hauted House during College and it was alot of fun acting out those scary haunts....I would love to go threw one at U.S. Im sure they go all out trying to get a scream....LOL.
