Hi there! :wave2:
I hope everyone is well. I had a couple of questions I wanted to ask.
I am helping my sister-in-law plan her vow renewals. She has her heart set on having a Disney Cruise renewal at Castaway Cay. To get everything going I am trying to gather information for her. M questions are the following:
1. How far in advance can a Disney Cruise vow renewal be booked? She knows the date she wants (June 2013). I know itineraries are out for that week, do we book the cruise first and tell them we would like to have vow renewals? or do we need to talk to Disney Wedding planners first? I know that for WDW weddings depending on the type of weeding you can book up to a year in advance, is this the same with the cruise?

2. The Disney Wedding website states that a maximum of 8 people are allowed at the ceremony and that depending on the volume of the cruise more guests may be allowed. This is the biggest problem we are seeing because it would be 25 people. She has 8 kids ranging from 3 yrs to 18 yrs old (that alone is the amount aloud). How easy is it to have the amount of people she needs to participate? How much more extra is it? If the amount of people is going to be an issue then sadly it will have a damper on her plans.

3. A cake is included in the price, but can a cake be taken on board? Her mother-in-law makes cakes and wanted to do this for her. Is it possible to take her own cake?

4. What was the amount of the deposit to hold the date?

5. Does the deposit amount include the deposit of the cruise or is that booked separately?

6. For the other guests traveling and participating in the event, are the rooms placed close together? Is their a block? Is their any sort of discount because of the event?

I know these are a lot of questions, but I would really appreciate any help, tips that can be given to us. Thanks so much!! Pixie dust to all! :wizard:

congrats to her and to you for jumping in there to help! i’m sure others will pipe in, but if you look on the main menu page for the wedding forums, there is a whole thread for cruise brides and VR! also, the passporter guide is beyond helpful! happy planning!
