The sound check was part of the fan club event! We got tickets for both shows at MSG...we were 4th row the 1st night and 8th row the 2nd night.
The first afternoon we attended a private luncheon at MSG hosted by Mrs B,
Jon's Mom who runs the fan club. They had an auction & a raffle of autographed stuff from previous tours. At 5:30 we were ushered into the arena and it was just us 300 fans and the band!!!! Just like a private show! Jon interacted with the crowd and we got to select a few songs for the concert that night! It was awesome!!!!

Okay ~ please tell me how I can join the fan club! I wanna be up close & personal!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

His Atlanta January concert was sold out, now the other one on Feb 12 is sold out also, but I am trying every day, I found 2 last night and didn't get them, the were in a bad spot.
I want to go so bad :(

NICE!
So they allowed cameras? Because we went to Aerosmith and they didn't let cameras in :furious:

I saw his last show before they took a Christmas break. It was fantastic. :faint: I went with just my girlfriends and boy was my dh jealous. I called him on my cell phone just so he could hear him. :wave2:

Bon Jovi most always allows cameras...as long as they are not "professional" cameras. It is usually up to the promoters.....

Other people have posted on Backstage about Jon being sick last night, I hope he has been sucking down tea and honey today!! :rotfl2:
I do occasionally post over there as DWjovifan. Right now they have closed membership in the fan club, for the duration of this tour....Jon has said they are doing baseball stadiums this summer, we are hoping for tickets to Philly or Giants....The fan club is great...we camped out for 19 hours for those 2nd row fan club seats!!!! And in July, we went to NJ for a private listening party at Jon's brother's bar to hear Have A Nice Day before it was released! Jon was there for a Q & A and we got to meet him personally for autographs!!!!
I love it!!! Keeps me young!!!!! :cool1: My kids think I'm crazy!!!!!

At the end of the Dec.22 concert at the Meadowlands in N.J. He said he would see us across the parking lot in the summer. So he is definately playing Giants Stadium this summer. :cool1:

WVjovifan - Thanks for the info about the baseball stadium tour. That would be great!! I think my husband would kill me though and I will definitely have to find a new Jovi buddy as I'm sure my sister in law won't be back in comission yet. Jon did say last night something to the effect of he would be back soon. He is usually right. It would be great to see them at Fenway. Please let me know if you hear more (PM or something). I know you get great info at the backstage website. I didn't post much but I loved reading over there.

He was really brave last night. As he has been doing on this tour he sang a couple of songs from a really small stage in the audience. It happened to be just a few rows below where I was sitting. The other times when he has done this he walked pretty quickly down the aisles back up to the stage. Last night he was really going slowly and shaking everyone's hands as he went back. He even stopped and was standing on a chair in the last row of the middle section of floor seats singing "Bed of Roses". I was pleasantly surprised at the restraint most of the fans showed. I thought for sure he was going to get ripped to pieces but everyone pretty much just shook his hand and let him move on. Right before he was ready to get back on stage someone did get a little too frisky though and I thought he was going to have his right arm ripped off. He really seemed to enjoy being out in the crowd and it was great to see especially since he wasn't doing as much of the joking around.

I was also sad that he didn't play Keep the Faith. I guess the jungle noises would have been to much for his sore throat.

Haven't seen them yet this tour.
:sad2: I won't pay money for bad seats.
So we are hoping they come around to Chicago this summer!!
DD-8 and DS-3 1/2 are Bon Jovi fans too!! It's a family thing!!
