HELP!!!

Somehow, my Flash player stopped working. :badpc: Now, I can't view the Disney home page! Here's what I have done so far and nothing has worked.

1) I went to the Macromedia website and followed their instructions. I located the Flash program in my hard drive (turns out I had 3 versions) I uninstalled all of them using the uninstall link from Macromedia.

2) I rebooted my computer and checked my hard drive and I had, in fact, successfully removed all versions of the Flash player.

3) I returned to the Macromedia site and followed the instructions to download the latest version of Flash. The screen showed that the installation was complete, yet the "video" never popped up. It was a blank box that had a square with a red "X" in the corner.

4) I went back to my hard drive and, sure enough, there was the Flash player.

5) After verifying that it was in fact on my computer, I went back to the Macromedia site to follow their troubleshooting guidelines. I reset my internet settings as they recommended, but the thing still doesn't work. :badpc: :badpc: :badpc:

Every website that I go to that uses Flash has the message that I "need to download the latest version of Flash to view the site". I ALREADY HAVE IT!!!
I cannot figure out how this happened! My computer HAS Flash on it, but none of the websites are running it. It is driving me crazy! My home page used to have news and video clips...not any more! The Disney home page is nothing but a big blue screen with the Disney logo on the top. I have a trip I am trying to plan and I have all my itineraries at disney.com! Now, I can't access it.

If ANYONE can help, you would have my eternal gratitude... :worship:

I know there is SOMEONE that can help!!!

If you have a firewall, did you give the new Flash player access to the internet again after installing it (mostly a Zone Alarm thing). Check that if you have it. Whenever I get an update to software, I almost always have to grant it access again.

OK, I didn't fix the problem, but I did find a way around it.
I think the problem started when I went to the disneymovierewards website and it said I needed the latest version of Flash. I downloaded the latest version of internet explorer (version 7) and that is when Flash stopped working. I put all of my security settings exactly as recommended by Flash, internet explorer, HP , etc but to no avail.

So, I decided to download the Netscape web browser and now all of my web pagees work fine  I don't like Netscape as much as IE, but if that's what it takes to get to my Dsney sites, then so be it!
