I was thinking of using Craigslist for my travel agency. How does it work? I hear it's good and it's free. Do you have much luck using it?

I know. I'm going to have to be all bundled up.
I'm also going to try to out of the apartment all day Saturday shopping in Natick (if I can find a shopping buddy that is so I can pick out some wedding things
Sunday I'm going to go to Carver to visit his parents & they have heat.

Landlord said he'll have someone out on Monday...

I have no idea! I have so many stories about the amount of dumb things this roommmate has done on top of things his mother has said. I'll have to share some of them later...I'm glad Shaun isn't like that.

I was just skimming through your planning journel!
First of all, don't stress about the rain now. FL weather is never accurate and that is way too far way for anyone to predict. It's unlikely there will be rain in FEb.

Our day had rain. They wanted to move my wedding inside. My WC was so understanding, knowing how much I wanted to have that wedding at the gazebo. They are supposed to call in within two hours, but she waited. We were able to have the cermony outside and most of the pictures. It started to rain during the cocktail reception at the rose garden, I never saw anyone move everything in so fast and so unobtrusively, and I'm in the business!!
It was just as nice inside, and the dinner was inside anyway.
So, don't stress it!!

I'm actually not stressing anymore. I talked to my wedding planner after lunch & I found out my back-up location & needless to say I will be pleased with what it is if it were to rain (since its the Wedding Pavillion but shh...people don't like that since I would be getting it for $1000 less than normal...it isn't my first choice but its good enough that I won't complain...so I promise...no more stressing over it.

I'm not worried about Dinner as that will be inside.

I'm alive!!! He turned out to be a very sweet older gentleman (married for 43 years!!!) who was picking up the dishes for his wife.

Yes, craigslist works great. I've used it a lot (for selling-- I've never purchased anything though). Every once in a while you'll come across someone annoying, but it's usually a very easy, smooth process.

And if it's a man, I usually meet in a public parking lot, and don't give them my address or home phone, just to be careful, but today my DS 3 was home with a cold, so I didn't want to drag him outside.

So, I'm home now...

My landlord was able to fix the boiler for the heater thank goodness or else I would be screwed right now...Well I kinda am as it is going from o 45 degrees to 70 right now so i'm in layers.

So on to the roommate did this (well the set up is a bit different apparently than it was earlier):


This occured sometime between 5:20am when I left the apartment for work & 8:00am when Shaun woke up & left our bedroom.

I got the call from Shaun wondering what was going on & if I had seen it. Of course I hadn't.

The way the fan was blowing...Shaun thought that the Evil Roommate had started a fire and thats what broke the heater as well the heater is right next to the chair the fan is on & since this a college apartment the fire detectors aren't the best

So I get home at like 4:15 from work & EvR isn't home yet. So I wait in the living room as he should be home soon.

I asked him what is this...

And he didn't know?

I turn to my evil mode and say, I know you are lying so cut the

Eventually...he said he didn't know why he did it.

And well, I get more angry...

And well, he isn't allowed to use any of my kitchen stuff again.
Which leaves him with nothing except 2 forks, a bunch of cups & a 2 piece toaster.

Let me add this isn't the first kitchen weird thing with him. He's left knives from my $400 knife set sitting in water for days (Shaun & I were out of town so we didn't notice), he's put my cast iron skillet in the dishwasher (boy that wasn't fun to get seasoned again) and just generally likes to leave pots, dishes, & nasties in the sink for days on end so we get flies & such in the summer/fall & I'm fed up. I have most of the *good* stuff packed away so he can't ruin it as with my nice dinner dishes, corningware, W&S stuff and I packed away my good knives both the block & the steak knive sets.

I should stop venting before I get angry again.

I think you can tell, I'm ready to move. (can't wait until March/April)

Me too Cheryl! Actually, the only weirdo (out of 50 or so sales) was the guy who came to buy a hubcap tool. Ummm, definitely should have had DH at home for that one. That was the point in time when I started meeting men at my local grocery store parking lot!

Oh Shaun's about to kill him. Shaun can't wait until Devin gets home to rip him a new one. I'll let him do that as Shaun is when he gets angry...he gets the point across a lot better than I do. (Hence, when we fight we get loud but then again we laugh at each other 5 minutes later b/c we get to the why are we yelling again)

He moved in June 2006 after his freshman year of college only because the person that was suppose to move in (a friend of Shaun's & I's from work) decided to not live in Worcester as it is kinda sketchy (we only lived here as it is in walking distance of college) so I found him through a community service group I did my freshman/sophomore year (APO) as he got screwed out of the housing lottery on campus.
