Calling all CBR fans..bus question

Need your help folks..I just switched from POP to CBR for Aug 24-31. Totally excited, that place looks awesome!! Question though, we have a car rental for that week because we hated the bus service when we stayed at POP last Sept for free dining. Fast forward to Free dining this year at POP and we said CAR PLEASE!!! So now that we are moved up to CBR, what is your advice about the rental vs the Disney bus service? Anyone stay there last Aug at that time and have a mini transport review that they can share with us? Anyone stay there recently with a review?
Appreciate any and all info, I know I can count on my DIS family, you have helped me out so much this trip and I haven't even left yet!!LOL!!!

I like the freedom of having a car. You won't need one if you are ok waiting for a couple of busses. At CBR it depends on the building you are in, the busses maybe full before they get to you. You also may need to take a bus to the Old Port Royale (main building) because the resort is so large it may take a while to walk. I get a rental no matter where I stay except CR because of the monorail. The only other resort I may not get a rental would be POP. I honestly didn't use the rental as much as I usually do there.
If you needed on for your POP stay, I would say you will want it even more at CBR.

I have stayed at CBR twice during free dining (but never POP) and didn't feel the need for a car.

Both times I reserved a preferred room and ended up in Martinique, building 25. Yes, the buses were sometimes pretty full, but I never had to wait for a second bus either to or from my destination.
