Calling all Anna Maria Island experts

After reading all the boards (great help, thanks!) we are going to spend a few days before WDW on Anna Maria Island. We were looking specifically at Haley's Motel or Fountain Head. Does anyone have experience with those? Or are there other recommendations for an affordable place for 7 people? TIA!!

We were just there last summer and stayed at the Tortuga in a condo with two master suites and a pull out sofa. The bedrooms were separated by the two bathrooms and very quiet, very nice tropical decor. Right across street from a great beach. We loved it. They also have regular rooms. When going to Disney take the south route around Tampa was very easy.

We're headed to AMI for our first time next month, I'm excited! We decided to stay at Cedar Cove in Holmes Beach. The Trip Advisor forums are a ton of help!
