Calling all AAA vacationers: How long was it before you got your final package info?

my parking pass, discount Diamond card (one for each adult in my party), my voucher for the MK lounge, baggage tags (even though we are driving), and confirmation details. We did not get our park tickets; because, supposedly, you do this part when you arrive at Disney, but it did confirm how many days our passes are for our stay, as well as, our dining package details.

The discount card is mostly for Downtown Disney. You get 10% for World of Disney. Many discounts for food places are 15% with some at 10% and 20%. There are 15% Disney tour discounts and golf discounts.

I did not get a 40 page How to guide book which is mentioned in my packet, but not given. I did get a Florida Tour Book that I requested and it's part of membership to get this free.

Funny, my packet arrived today! Included were Diamond parking passes, Diamond card, AAA lounge voucher, 3 Happiest Celebration on Earth AAA luggage tags (not DME) and a really nice photo album, with a picture of Snow White, Dopey and WDW guests on the cover, and the caption, "You're never too young to be a World traveler." Cute! DME stuff should arrive end of next week or so! Can't WAIT!!!

We leave on October 1, and our documents came this past Wednesday. Our TA says the ME tags should come 21 days prior to leaving; they'll come to her and we can pick them up at her office.

Hey, I didn't get a photo album...come to think of it, I didn't get a brochure on the dining plan either. Did anyone else get a dining plan brochure?

what level package you get for vacation or the particular travel agent at AAA. AAA brochure about Disney states what should come in a basic package. From what I can tell the 40 page guide book with maps, etc. seems to be missing for most folks. If you get more than the basic than that's a bonus.

Got my ME tickets from my AAA TA on Monday - 20 days before we leave. So glad to finally have everything for the trip!

Our AAA TA (Amy Kepner at AAA-Reading/Berks) has handled pretty much everything for us. We're too far out for the latest trip, but the last two trips, we had our information in our hands 3-4 weeks prior to departure. Our package usually will include vouchers for hotel, rental car, etc., the luggage tags, various discount cards and Diamond Parking card. All of the park tickets were taken care of at check-in.

Very true! I usually wait to call me clients until we get the ME tags or up until the week before. If they aren't using ME, There truly seems to be no rhyme or reason as to how they send the tags. I have clients who cancel ME and still received tags and clients who waited until the day before and still didn't get tags. But as the poster stated, it's not a big deal not to get that.

Generally speaking, I tend to cram as much info on Disney as I can in with the documents before giving them to a client. Park hours, maps, etc. It helps in the planning. The only problem w/ the maps is that Disney will NOT send them to us. I have spoken with supervisors and our DSM regarding this. The only solution I have found is to pack an empty suitcase and bring the maps back with me. Very time consuming for me and it requires me to lug all those maps to the airport and such. But, if it helps me clients get at least an inkling of an idea about what Disney has to offer, than I have done my job! :teeth:
Hey!! I want you for my AAA agent!
