Calling All 8/19/06 Special Western Cruisers! AKA "The Cruisin' Castaways" Part 3

I posted these pics on our 10/24/09 cruise meets thread earlier today, just thought I'd post them here as well.

I have a few pics from last night. After the show last night, the Seniors were given plaques with the names and year of the shows they were in during their high school years. Needless to say, it was a bit emotional when the plaques were being handed out.

The front row are of the Seniors (cast and back stage crew) holding their plaques, Angelina is 4th from the right

The only thing that kind of bummed me out about last night, was the fact that I had purchased 16 tickets for the show, and 9 of the people I had bought tickets for, couldn't make it, for one reason or another.

Beautiful pics Andy! Was Angelina one of the children? Sorry you ended up purchasing tickets for people that didn't show. I kept doing that for Taylor's dance recitals & I finally just stopped asking people. If they really want to go, they can ask me! ;)

I know Angelina is short, but no, Angelina was one of the King's wives.......:lmao: But she did have, one of the King's daughters. ;)

They used some elementary and middle school kids to portray the King's children.

The sad part was, the 9 people that didn't make it, had plans to be there up until either Friday or Saturday afternoon. Then "life" got in the way......:guilty:

:rotfl2: Okay well I thought if they were using ALL high school kids then some would have to be the children! I know in my DS's elementary school play of the Sound of Music, the musical director certainly didn't go by height. Some of the youngest children were feet taller than the older children. It did look pretty silly!

Well, I've gotta run and take Angelina to the cast party, then momma and I are going to get some dinner.........:wave2:

Hi everyone!!!!

So glad I finally got the email notification about the "resurrection" of this thread.

Though why on earth did it get moved to the trip reports section is beyond me?

I've so missed talking with you guys.

Andy....loved the photos....wow, I forgot this is it for Angelina, she'll be a high school graduate soon.

As for me....I've seen swamped so far this year. I've taken on a major volunteer position with our local Girl Scouts. I am now the "leader's" leader for about 30 troops in my area. Its a two year commitment.

I really enjoy the work but it can be time consuming. Lots and lots of little things to take care of.

I've also been having some health issues. Nothing serious but enough to take steps to get help. Next month I'm having two surgeries on my left foot to correct two separate injuries I've done in the past 16 months.

It was just painful enough standing on the left foot that I started having terrible back problems which made me feel awful so I started losing weight and then got sick with that terrible stomach flu going around so I didn't feel like eating and so on and so on.

Not fun.

But I did two two fantastic ski trips to Vermont this winter and accomplished the goals I've had for the past three years. Talk about an adrenaline high to be able to finally do what I've wanted to do for so long.

My soul is happy.

just wanted to say hey, I've been pretty busy with work and basketball games since November. Should be only busy with work since basketball season is over for the Nets but will still have other teams to watch in the playoffs, hopefully Lakers or Suns win :cool1: :cool1:. I am excited about my cruise on the Magic in July, first time going to Disneyland so I am pretty stoked. I wanted to share some pictures of my trip to Disney World in March, haven't been able to upload them all so here are ones I have so far, I'll post more later

I just asked the webmaster if this thread can be moved to the "meets" thread part and not the trip reports section.

Its too weird seeing us in the trip reports section.

Well, I must say, today was one of my happiest days as a dad. We received a call this morning letting us know that Angelina has passed Math for the year and graduation is a go!!! We were sweating it out, but the third marking period ended this past Thursday and Angelina received enough points during the first three marking periods to reach the needed 5 credits for the year!!! Let the party begin!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

YEAH ANGELINA!!!! WAAAAAY TO GOOOOO!!

(and props to mom and dad, too ;) )

Thanks mommasita for moving this thread to the meets board. Boy, if life were only so easy as to send a pm to somebody and boom its done.

does anyone follow basketball? if so who do you want to win the finals this year? I'm rooting for the Suns, Lakers, or Hornets to win since Nets and Knicks are out of the playoffs

I know it's a long shot (pun, not intended, :lmao: ), but I am a 76'ers fan..........;)

You are all welcome..

I loved the Pics everyone.
Julia I love them all, but the one in front of the castle the most .
Andy, I can not believe how quickly it seems Angelina has grown up. She has grown into a beautiful young lady..:goodvibes

Time flies......didn't this thread start in September 2004?

Wow

Yes, I believe it did. I think it was somewhere around 91 (+or-) weeks before the 8/2006 cruise took place..........;)

Edited to add: Just went back and checked the original thread. It was started by Mary Rose on: 09-29-2004, 07:54 PM
