Wow I can't believe how kind & compassionate everyone is! What a wonderful bunch!!!

I am trying to get most of my packing done, because I am continuing to have stupid nightmares about forgetting things so I figured this might help alleviate some of my anxiety! I hope!

Hello all

Greetings from Old Key West


The internet connection was down all day yesterday, so this is the first post I could get out in 2 days.


Anyway, Yes Moria and her family did arrive safely as did Princess Crazy

We did the wishes cruise last night and it was great.

One problem so far, I had ordered a cake for my bday at 1900 park fare, but dinning screwed up and no cake was delievered.


We had also ordered browines from the wishes cruise. Well I checked on this after the dinner mishap, and no browines could be found. Well, the boat captain also checked on his own, when he discovered this, he put together a dersert package on his own. Well in between my calls and what he did we had lots a special deserts at no extra cost. So it worked out in the end.


Well we are off to Disney MGM for tonight,
Mama Melrose and the fantanmic fireworks show.

We are absolutely overwhelmed by your generosity, Andy. Thank you so much. You are a class act. In fact, everyone here has been so welcoming and helpful to my newbie family. Words cannot express how touched and grateful we are. I had always heard that DCL was wonderful but I'm convinced that is also because they have cruisers like you who make it so.
We are looking forward to meeting everyone. Thanks so much for including us in everything!!!
Time to return our modem so this might be my last post. we are going to try and go without using the computer the whole time while we are on the ship (we'll see.....)

Well, we are out of work and packing up the van. We will be leaving sometime before 6:00 PM. It is good to finally be on vacation!!

Hopefully when we get to Daytona Beach on Thursday we may be able to log in from Aunt Helen's condo.

Well... I have some good news to report.

After all of the ugliness with Devin's father yesterday, I have received both an email and a phone apology for the things he said to me. (This was not entirely unexpected. I just wasn't expecting it so soon. He's that type that get very hot and belligerent when you hit too close to the bullseye, but after he has had time to think about things and digest what was said to him, then he will apologise and admit that you were right.) He has also apologized to Devin as well.

Ok everyone. I am trying to finalize our plans for this cruise. I am convincing my DD 16 and DS 14 to do the Wild Side at Castaway Cay. I would like to know who has their teens signed up and for what day? My DD said she would rather do it on the second day as she will know more people.

I had a little panic attack this morning. We moved people around in rooms so that we could book the excursions early but I just realized that my MIL who is listed in my room and DH who is listed in other room won't be able to get into their rooms. Does anybody know if you can get an extra key to your room or give someone else the right to get into your room? I called DCL this morning and they said they thought that guest services might be able to do something about it but they weren't sure.

Yes, LINDA you can get another KTTW card for another room that you have RESSIE for.. we did it 2 yrs ago so my DD could go back and forth between the 2 rooms...

We had a nice meal at Ruby Tuesday, I had the crabmeat sandwich again tonight, boy was it good.

Now, it's time to start working on those last minute details so we are ready to leave when the airport shuttle arrives tomorrow morning.

My excitement has now turned into a bundle of nerves, and will probably be like that until we get on the plane tomorrow, then I'll take a deep breath and relax!!!

Just had to share - I just printed out some door signs and I'm really happy with how theyr'e turning out! For having no experience at this or cruising, I'm pretty excited. We'll have one main sign and a different one for every day of the cruise. My family doesn't know about the signs, so it'll be surprises for them!
