My very first post was January 24, 2003, so it has taken me a little over 3 and 1/2 years to get this far!!!!! :joker:

Good morning everyone!! :sunny:

As John and I were waking up this morning it was apparent that neither of us wanted to get up. LOL Then I said, "well in a couple of days our vacation begins!!" and that kind of gave us the bit of motivation we needed to get out of bed. :teeth:

Jeff: Good thinking on changing your cabin number! Smart move!! :thumbsup2

Andy: Congrats on 11,000 posts!! :teacher: :surfweb:

I have another full day ahead of me; work until 3:30pm (although I'm going to tell them that I need to leave at 3:15). Take DS15 Robby for his haircut appt at 4pm. Then take he and a few of his friends to a restaurant about a half hour away (it's a Mongolian grill kind of place), then to a large music store, then back home here hopefully by 7pm so I can START TO PACK!! lol Also, a kid is interested in buying Craig's car (Craig's 18 years old and owns 2 vehicles! lol), and he said he'd be back tonight to buy it, so we have to make sure that either Craig, John, or myself are here this evening for this. We've already had Craig sign the title in case he's not here (he has work and then band practice tonight).

Anyway...that's my day... I'm really curious to see if all of our clothes will fit into our suitcases tonight!! :scratchin LOL

Hi Everyone! We arrived in Orlando yesterday, got to Newark airport 2 1/2 hours early and we got right through to the gate in about 10 minutes! there was no wait on the jetblue line. Everything was organized there really well. Got to the house last night, went out to Key W cools restaurant for steak, went food shopping for the week and went in the pool til about midnight! The weather is great here, actually just a little hotter than its been at the Jersey shore. Tonight is the Magic Kingdom, we cant wait to see the updates to the Pirates ride. Going to downtown Disney tomorrow to take my friends grandaughter to the bibbidi bobbidi boutique for the full Princess treatment. See everyone on the cruise!
Susan

Sue, thanks for the airport info, that what I hope for tomoorow when we leave. Did you wind up driving to the airport or using the limo? The limo is picking us up at 4:30 tomorrow morning just to be safe.

Andy: Congrats on your 11.000 posts :cheer2:

Jeff: Safe trip

Glad someone mentioned the snorkel stuff since it completely slipped my mind

Off to pick up DD(14) from field hockey practice and run DD(15) to the doctor for some rash she has on her leg. DD(14) went to the doctor last Thursday for the same thing but doctor won't prescribe anything with out seeing her. So just something else to add to the list of things to do.

Happy packing :dance3:

I had a little panic attack this morning. We moved people around in rooms so that we could book the excursions early but I just realized that my MIL who is listed in my room and DH who is listed in other room won't be able to get into their rooms. Does anybody know if you can get an extra key to your room or give someone else the right to get into your room? I called DCL this morning and they said they thought that guest services might be able to do something about it but they weren't sure.

Andy - Congrats on 11,000

Yes, you'll be able to get extra "KTTW" (Key to the World) cards from Guest Services. We'll need to do this too, because we have DS15 and I booked into one cabin, and DH and DS18 booked into the other cabin.

Excellent news about the short wait at Newark. Many thanks for the update. I think at this point I'm less concerned about long lines at the airport and more concerned about traffic delays with all the road construction on Route 78.

Off to see the chiropractor. The kids and I go on a regular basis. Those back and neck adjustments really makes a difference.

We were really concerned about waiting on long lines on monday, and were so surprised how easy it was. It was just like any other day we have traveled here. I know what you mean about the chirporactor. I had 2 herniated discs about 8 years ago, and my chiropractor got me back on my feet. I couldnt even walk up stairs. I first went to the orthopedic surgeon, had an mri and was told i should have a laminectomy, but was afraid of surgery. Then I found my chiropractor, and still go to him for adjustments. Thank goodness I found him.

Hi Denise, we ended up driving and parking at long term parking at Newark. The whole trip was really easy. The only problem we did have was some construction on route 34 north right before the parkway. I called the limo but they didnt have availability on the 26th because of a wedding. Have a great trip tomorrow.
Hi Mary Rose and Kris! We had a great trip and are really enjoying Florida. The Magic Kindgom was packed last night! Luckily we got to see the add ons to Pirates of the Caribbean and my favorite Haunted Mansion. I was surprised it closed at 10, thought in the summer it would be at least open til midnight.

I'm sitting here waiting for 11:50 to get here so I can get us checked-in and print our boarding passes for our Southwest flight tomorrow morning.

I finished all my work for the day (don't know what I'm going to do this afternoon, LOL!!!), picked up my paycheck, went to the bank and am now home for lunch!!!

Hazel and Angelina are going out this afternoon so Hazel can get her nails done, Angelina already had her nails done the other day.

We'll probably just go out to eat dinner after I get home. Hmmmmmmm maybe Ruby Tuesday for that crabmeat sandwich!!!!!

15 more minutes 'til check-in time!!!

Thanks for the congrats to my DH! We went out yesterday & bought him a balloon, card, & cake, then went out for Mexican food to celebrate & the margaritas were yummy! So much for the diet!

Terry: Thanks for the link! It was nice to see everyone wishing us a good time!

Safe travels everyone!
Diane

I just got us checked-in for our Southwest flight, I have boarding pass #1, I was hitting the button just as the 24 hour window opened up!!!!!!

Since Hazel and Angelina had a different confirmation number, I had to wait until my boarding pass was printed to get them checked-in, that quick 16 more people checked-in as Hazel and Angelina have pass #'s 17 & 18. At least we have group "A" that's all I care about, LOL!!! :goodvibes

The excitement is building with each passing minute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :yay:

Hey Fellow Cruisers,

I just received an e-mail from a very special lady and she needs some help. I have attached the note below. If anyone is able to help with this request could you please give Shirley a call at the shop 800-950-4559. I x'd out the names that were in the e-mail, I didn't want to make anyone feel funny by having their name mentioned in public. It is a great feeling helping others!!!

Andy

Hello my Friend,

Can you please do me a favor? NOW IT IS NOT AND I MEAN NOT MANDATORY - I have 3 MAW children going on the 19th crusie and xxxxxxxx "adopted" 2 and I need one more to be adopted -
I have donated over 25 baskets already this month and I am having to cut down - will you ask on your thread if someone will be willing to adopt xxxxxxx who is 16 yrs old? I am taking care of the 5 for tomorrow and the 7 for Sunday and this would make it easier for me - the maxiumn would be about $25.00 and I will take care of the delivery.
If no one can, believe me its ok.

Hugssssssss
Shirley

Hi everyone,

Just finishing up my packing. I always seem to over pack. I am trying to restrain myself!!

Andy, I will be waiting for 8:40 tonight to print my Southwest boarding passes as well. We leave out of Islip.

Dh has been having some sort of trouble with his gall bladder or something. Needless to say he was in the emergency room last week. He had a sono this week and they said everything looked okay. He experienced the same pain yesterday. He went to the doctor and got some medication. We are keeping our fingers and toes crossed that the medication will do the trick. I even considered cancelling the trip. Dh said,"no way".

I look forward to meeting all of you!!

Hi! I arrived in Florida last night. Wooohooo!!! And, OMG, looking at all the clothes we have - thank God we are driving back to NYS after the cruise. I can only imagine what the airline penalties would be with so much luggage (the kids and DH have been in Daytona for 3 weeks, hanging at Grandma's beach house - isn't it great to be a teacher??? LOL).
Reenie - thanks so much for the offer of princess dresses for Tess. i was able to get out and got her - an-OMG-I'm -a-big-girl-dress. She is in heaven. Wait til til you see her. Now she wants a matching purse!!! (she is only 6!!!) But of course now I need to run to payless to get some dressy shoes...
We're in stateroom 2120. I saw the list and was glad to see there are some other people on the same floor.
We were locked out of getting Palo reservations online so if anyone sees us at Grillz on Friday night we'd appreciate your input as to the best time to try for reservations. (My Dh is 6'5 and shaves his head live Mr Clean - you can't miss us! LOL) Last week was my DH's birthday and since we weren't together we'd like to celebrate it on ship. We plan to get to the port as early as possible on Saturday - is it worth it for me to go over on my own and let my family take the 10AM shuttle from the Radisson?
We're turning off the computer later today and heading over to WDW. Will anyone else be in the Magic Kingdom on Thursday???
I am sooo excited for this!!!! :cheer2:

Lunch time is over, I've got to get back to work, later all!!! :wave2:

Just spoke with them and I think they are taken care of, but if you still want to sponsor they are taking additional ones.
