Orginally I looked at the Aug 12th cruise for our first cruise.
I would have celerbrated my Bday on the cruise, but once I saw the great rates for this cruise I quickly changed plans. That plus this year our school system is starting after labor day.

So Now I will have my Bday at WDW and then a cruise,
I guess I get the best of both worlds. :)

Our family vactaion is starting to shape up.

Autotrain to FL.
Then a stay at Old Key West Aug 14-17th
Including

Dinner at Liberty Tree
Breakfast at Ohana,
Dinner at 1900 park fare

Wishes fireworks Bday Cruise. :cake: party:

Dinner Mama Melrose and Fantasmic Fireworks

Dinner Crystal palace

Lunch Brown Derby

Friday night at the Radisson
Sat Douple Dip cruise

After the cruise Drive back :drive:to Ct via Gaitlinbrug Tn - 2 night cabin rental,
Drive on Blue Ridge parkway,
and a few more items in the works.

Over 3 weeks on the road. :car:
And when we get home we will have a NEW Bathroom party:

An Aug to remember!

I love Key West, but I haven't been there in years. I'm kind of disappointed to miss it, but I think I can choke down two stops at CC.

.

I would have loved a stop at Key West, but I guess if we like this cruise, we will just need to book another one :cool1: just will need to wait for the 2008 dates.

Yet another rainy Thursday.

I booked this cruise fairly soon after the dates were announced. We were knee-deep in Repo cruise planning at the time. The prices were not as good as I wanted but it was the most inexpensive, school-friendly summer schedule we could find. We have many friends from the Ship of Fools on this cruise. !

Robin,

I look forward to meeting you and your dd, and the friends from the ship of fools crew too. I suspect my dd and you and the others will become fast friends on board.

Okay, does anyone want to guess when we'll reach 7000 posts? I'm guessing 6/30/06. What do you think? :confused3

Bev

Ok Bev,
I'm doing my part to get to 7000 posts :rotfl2:

Hello everyone! I have been lurking around this thread and thought it was time I introduced myself. We are so excited to be going to CC two times! The last cruise we took from DCL, it was raining so we missed out on a lot! Not this time I hope! Anyway, I will be cruising with my dh, (5by5 who posted a few pages ago), and our 2 sons. One is 8 and the other will be turning 6 on the ship! The only excursion we have planned at this point is the stingray at CC on Friday but we may pass on that. The kids will be too interested in the kids club activities that are scheduled for that time. I think I am rambling now so I better sign off. It's only 73 days away!!!

RobinMarie- SOrry you missed the SPH room. 55520 was available yesterday morning and then when I checked in around noon that was gone but 5022 was available, crazy. I was hoping someone fron the DIS would snag it. Oh well.
SeaSPray- My family was also on the first 10 day hurricane cruise! I knew about the DIS but not all you crazy people meeting up :sunny: .
Caren

Hi Caren - Thanks for the heads up - I got a SPR for only $100 more than my Cat11 cruise fare. :cool1:

I checked the disney site and the cat 9's are now the same price as the cat 11's. I may call back and go for a cat9 porthole, but I don't really know if I want to be on deck 2 - I really love the deck 5 location - we were there on the Wonder and loved it. On the Magic, we were in a cat10 on deck 2 under the rocking D bar and didn't care for that location at all.

Does anyone have experience with a cat 9 - did you like your location?

Hello all,

Just a quick note about the Extreme Getaway Package at CC. This package is $54 and includes the Stingray excursion, snorkeling gear, bike (for 1 hour), and a float. Priced individually, this excursion would be $73 for adults. Anyway, if you are still looking for a specific time on one of the Stingray excursions, you can still get it if you book this package. We realized after we booked just our kids for the Stingray excursion that they needed to be accompanied by an adult. Unfortunately, the excursion wasn't available at the same time (10am Sunday) anymore. When I looked at the Extreme Getaway Package, they still had availability for 10am on Sunday. We figured between the 9 of us on this cruise, we'd be able to use the floats, snorkel gear and bikes.

I'm looking forward to meeting you and your family too Ed! I can't wait to meet everyone! Victoria is an easy going child. We should definitely get them connected; especially if your daughter has any apprehensions. I'm sure they will have a blast!

Ed, even if the 2008 dates are not out when you sail, do think about booking while on board for the incentives. I don't believe they have changed anything but those incentives are transferrable if you should change your dates of sailing. When we sailed last summer I did not book another cruise because I couldn't beat the price of this upcoming cruise. I should have booked because I could have transferred the incentives to the cruise I have booked in 2007.

Welcome BeachPal!

Is anybody else completely bananas over the upcoming "million wishes" and the chance to spend the night in Cinderella's castle? Obviously I have never won the lottery because I've been saving up my luck for this. In the meantime, we're trying to decide what to do the 18th. Maybe Boma's (Steve's favorite) or the Brown Derby and Fantasmic (my favorite) or Wishes at the Magic Kingdom (when we come back for my birthday in October we'll see the Halloween version at MNSSHP and there's talk that it's going to be changed) or someplace we've never been before (like Citrico's). So many choices -- and they're all good ones.

Yep I am finaizing up our plans for the pre cruise.
I think we may do Brown Derby on the 18th before we head over to the Radisson.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Is anyone going to dress in "costume" for pirate night? I apologize if you all already covered this but I have lost track over the last 6,800+ posts! pirate:
