Hello Fellow Disers
:wave2: I thought it would be fun if we had a Cruise Exchange Package going on around here.
This is how it would work, after the goup decides on the amount by poll 10,15,20 not including shipping there would be one week to sign up. You would PM me your info..........Name, adresses we can decide to do just for adults or include children.
Pick a deadline to mail packages and enjoy the " Goodies " when they come in the mail. :thumbsup2 Examples could be travel book for Costa Maya, snacks, Disposable camera ect. Anything cruise related you get the idea. :cheer2: :cheer2:

Hey Tina, I think this is a great idea! I think it'd be a fun way for us to get to know each other a little more too :grouphug: I am definitely "IN" for this idea! Should we include DHs too? How about teen boys? LOL I'm sure I'd be doing the shopping for all of us, and it might be fun for John and the boys to get a package too, you know? :teeth:

Terry:Those are all GREAT ideas. :thumbsup2 I like a group Brunch. We did that on our last cruise and had an awesome time. :)

I can't figure out how to set up a poll? I just don't see it? Can you set it up for $10.00 $15.00 $20.00 ? Thank you. Most votes win .

When you send your PM you can say how many packages your doing. So if your DH is getting a package by himself that would be 1. Aw that would be neat. I could do 2 for us and Chuck could get one without him knowing it and wouldn't he be surprised opening something in the mail besides a bill. :rotfl2:
He would say who is ???? I then could say well your going on a cruise with this person. :rotfl: Good idea for adding this info. Kids can exchange with kids. Hopefully there will be enough and it will work out that way.

Hi Tina:

I believe that in order to do a poll, it has to be a new thread. In other words, you can't just post a reply and have it be a poll. :confused3 Maybe we can create a new thread with a poll and link it here? Or, just have everyone let you know which dollar amount they prefer??

Terry: o.k if I post it on another Thread then I really don't have any control over it so..............by the Legal team of Stanley, Morgan, Bradley openly post your votes and they will keep track of them. :rotfl2:

That's true, Tina, also people who aren't going to participate can vote, and I think we really only want the opinions of those who want to do this. lol

Ok, my official vote is: It doesn't matter. Whatever the majority decides. I can see pros for each of the price ranges; $10 is good because it's not an amount that would probably keep people from participating. $20 is good because then you can really send a lot of stuff. Ok..so maybe I should go with $15?? LOL :confused3 Really, I will go with whatever everyone else decides :sunny:

From mom- The announcement will be at 10:30

Woo Hoo  :Pinkbounc

Terry: My vote is $15.00 but then again I will be happy with what everybody else wants to do. :goodvibes Another good idea is to get things from the Tip summerized list............. :)

Palo Brunch sound like a fun place,

Also any of the at sea days would be a good time for a meet.

Not sure if any of you are aware of this or not, but I posted the info about the Med/European Disney cruise back in January, over on the regular cruise board! I was right ;) Here's a link to the thread that now has over 48 pages and over 700+ posts :sunny: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1017505

The news of the Magic's itinerary for next summer is old news, and no surprise to me :teeth:

Terry,

I remember your other posting and also those who were giving you some grief.
I hope they enjoy their crow . :rotfl2: ,

Sadly I am one of the few that I expect who isn't happy of next years schedule.
I had hoped if we liked this years 7 day cruise to rebook on board for next year.

Looks like I will need to wait to 2008 and hope for a better schedule.

Hi everyone! The cruise is getting closer and closer and I'm about ready to jump out of my skin! Although I hate the waiting, I will hate returning home from the cruise even more. Anyone else feel this way?

Are there any "meets" planned yet for the cruise? I tried going through all the previous posts but there are almost 6,000 of them (wow!!) so I thought it may be faster to ask... I have 2 daughters, 14 and 12 and the 12 year old is a bit shy. She's concerned about going to the lab because she doesn't know anyone... anyone in the same boat (in about 151 days that will be "literally")?

My DD will be 12 in July & she is the exact same way. On our first Disney cruise she had a hard time in the lab because her younger brother (who is not shy at all) was not old enough for the lab yet & she didn't meet any friends. She only ended up going a few times because she would rather be with us. When we were on the NCL Dawn she met a girl her age in the kids' club & that made all the difference in the world. We couldn't get her out of there! Will you be at the Radisson the night before? It would be nice if we could get them to meet each other before the lab & maybe they will hit it off.

Edited because I didn't realize before I posted that Terry already mentioned a few meets. They all sound great to me. Especially the evening one because no offense to DH but it's a lot more fun when you are enjoying the evening with a bunch of folks!
Diane

Allshookup - I'd love to meet prior to the cruise, but we are staying in Orlando on Friday night and then going to the port on Saturday morning... we'll be in a category 6 on deck 6 (I think) near the front of the ship. Are you nearby? :guilty: :moped:

Terry: I remember ! I was curious to the ports and prices. Are you still thinking about going now that you see them? It's not in the cards for us next year. We will stick with the 4 day Wonder. :boat:

Just bumping up thread........... :Pinkbounc

Is there a interest in the Cruise exchange besides Terry & I ?

The ports are a big disappointment, not only to me, but to many others as well. John and I were interested in the repo cruise to bring the Magic back home, but there are only 3 ports, plus Castaway Cay. Not that only 3 ports is a bad thing in a repo cruise, but those ports don't interest us at all. Surprisingly, the prices are actually not as bad as we had imagined they'd be. lol

Since we want to take the boys to Europe anyway so we can choose the cities and countries that we do want to see, we are probably going to skip this cruise. I know it'll be a fun cruise though :sunny: The 6 days at sea on the Magic are what's tempting John and I to still consider it, but I think in the end we'll be passing on this one. :wave2:

Tina: Count me in for the cruise exchange,it sounds like fun. Will we do everyone in the family or just one package per family?

Terry: All of your ideas for meets sound great. I especially like the meet after the safety drill, Palo's brunch and the adult pool.

Denise :teacher:

Hi Everyone!

Yesterday was so exciting I almost forgot I was on this cruise! We got to hear live reports, read by the minute updates and even a video of yesterdays happenings. Incredible!

I'm not too surprised by the ports - with Eurodisney and Adventures in Disney, they are hoping to have stronger presences in those countries is my guess. I'm happy with the Repo stops but wish there was just one more. There is no way I'd travel to Gibraltar, Barecelona, Cadiz OR Tenerife but I sure would like to see them. I think it's perfect.

For us, the Repo Cruise will be a great adventure home. We are hoping for a week in Europe.

Back to this summer - all ideas sound good to me. I'd like a family exchange and 25 dollars sounds good to us.

Terry: I am kinda surprised at what people are saying about the Med. cruise prices. I kinda expected them to be more. :rotfl2: I am also one of those disappointed in the ports. It really didn't matter though because I knew in the begininng I wasn't going. I was hoping for Hawaii :wizard: :wizard: If it was I think I would have had my bags packed already. :rotfl:

Denise: I want to do what makes eveyone " Happy". :) I know that's not realistic just :wizard: thinking. How about a family package? 1 per family. When everyone PM''S me there info. they can include if kids sailing and ages so they can be included. :thumbsup2

RobinMarie:I will put your family down for the exchange. :)

Since the majority so far is leaning towards a family package which makes sense how about a limit of $20.00? You can still buy alot for 20.00 and be creative yet not to much money for people to not to participate :confused3 Imput would be greatly appreciated. :thanks:
Once we get things decided the deadline for sign ups will be announced and you will have plenty of time to shop. :woohoo:
