We just got back from seeing PoC2 and we both liked it. I think it's kind of like the LOTR thing, though, where the first movie establishes the "world" of the movie and so some of the amazement drops away. I thought parts were terribly clever; Steve thought that they could have trimmed about half an hour (of course, that may have been the large soda speaking). One thing's for sure, I want to see everybody's palm before we head out to the open seas!

P.S. Mary Rose: About half of my 8th grade girls last year considered themselves to be the future Mrs. Orlando Bloom, although about a third of them preferred the blonde, pointy-eared Middle Earth version. I think there's a shorter wait in the Johnny Depp line.

Just heard this morning that Ireland are number 2 on the welathy nations league (I think per head of population) behind Japan but I don't seem to be seeing much of it!!

CARAMELTINK: If a Disney movie is going to be opening on August 25th, then I think there's a good chance they'll play it on our cruise. I know they've done the "PremEar At Sea" onboard the ships for all of the new Disney movies.

Tina: What a beautiful thing your MIL has done in sending you those gifts, both the tangible (jewelry) and intangible (the letter). I know how special they must be to you. Hugs to you and Chuck and your family.

Moira: I meant to say that they did have plenty of pirate accessories at the gift shop in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride when we were there in May. We bought eye patches (corny, I know! LOL), and I got a neat pirate hat for DH to wear. They also sell the "pirates medallions", you know, the necklace that Elizabeth Swann had in the original Pirates movie. It looks like the pirates' Aztec gold, on a chain. Not expensive at all, as I recall. I think the necklace was $10 - $12. The hat was probably around $20 (it's brown and looks like the 3-point hat that Jack Sparrow wears), and the eye patches were only a couple of dollars each. Happy plundering!

We saw the previews last night. It really does look like a good movie. Since we live right outside of Philly we are HUGE Eagles fans. So this is a definate MUST SEE for us! I hope they do show it on the ship, that would be great!

Moria: You should have no problem finding pirate " stuff " at WDW. Like Terry said and I have read in cruise reports they do sell some things on the ship but I believe you would be better off buying in WDW.

OK, I just got off the phone with Grills, I was told there is no limit to the number we can have in our group, but there is the possility that our group could get split up. When I was at Grills in May, we had 18 in our group for dinner and we met at 5:30pm. We only had to wait about 15-20 minutes and we were given three round tables side by side in the inside dining room. I am going to add Grills number to my cell phone, I was told I could call about an hour ahead of time to get our group added to the waiting list.

To make it easier, if we are already seated before some arrive, I will have our group listed as "Disney Magic Cruisers."

As you can tell from my number of posts, I'm more of a "lurker" than a true DISser, but maybe it's time I changed that! Anyhow, it looks like it's going to be a fun cruise!

My family and I (DH, DD12 and DD9) were lucky enough to be able to book this cruise on such short notice (just a little over a month to go! ) This will be our third DCL cruise, but the first on the Magic (the other two were 3-night cruises) I've read through some of this thread (no way I could read all 518 pages!!) and you all sound like a fun group of people. As you can tell from my number of posts, I'm more of a "lurker" than a true DISser, but maybe it's time I changed that! Anyhow, it looks like it's going to be a fun cruise!
