Laura <---- who is off to check her calender to make sure it is April

Andy - Drive safely. I can't feel too bad for you, we are supposed to get snow tomorrow.

Sue - I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures. Have fun on your girls weekend. I need one of those myself.

Tina - Hope all is well. PM when you have a chance and let me know what is going on. We need to get together with Doreen and plan a day.

My sister was at WDW this week - I was so jealous!!! I wan't to be there!!! We are probably going to FL in August to see my mother's new place in Venice, FL - I keep trying to figure out a way to afford to go to WDW for a few days. It would be perfect because it would be when everybody else is there. I don't know if we can swing it though. We just got approved for a home equity loan to put enlarge our garage and put in a driveway and a front porch so I think that we are going to be pretty tapped out by then. Time will tell.

Welcome aboard to everybody that has joined us recently.

Linda

Hi Guys,

We're getting ready to leave for NJ so I'll check in on the flip side after I return home.

Have a MAGICal Sunday!!! :flower: :sunny: :flower:

Andy

Sue: Glad you and everyone else enjoyed the Vegas pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them. :teeth: It's funny your going to celebrate a friends birthday next weekend. My b-day is on the 30th. I will have to start saying I am 40 something. Have fun !!

Andy: Saw some nasty weather on t.v for DC. You talked about light rain they were talking about tornadoes. Did you take all the warm weather with you? :rotfl2: Since you have been gone it's been rain and now snow for today. Oh I have had enough.........

Linda: I also enjoyed your pictures. It brought back some nice memories for me. Get together sounds nice. Congrats on the home improvements. There is always something to do when you own your home.

Doreen:How are things going? Any better? Hang in there. :wizard:

Laura: Did the snow melt yet? The system you got is what we are getting now but not as bad. Our weather is usually a day behind you. :cool1:

Heather: Where have you been? Hope all is well.

Bev: How is the weather your way? :umbrella:

Kids go back to school tomorrow..........It will take them a day or two to get back on schedule. :rolleyes1

Hope everyone enjoys what's left of there weekend. Tina

Glad I took Fri off (sick day). It was the only day this wknd we could get out of the house! The rain's been awful.
Took Jon to see King's Ransom yesterday - it was okay. Hadnt been to the movies for a while.
Jon has a friend over today. I may try to combine all these Disney trip notes I have for Aug. Only 21more days and I get to start making those PSs!

Hoping for good weather next wknd - want to return to the farm

Hi everyone:

Just got back from NJ this afternoon. I had a great time visiting my sister and niece, and the NJ shore was kind enough to have mostly EXCELLENT weather, except for yesterday which didn't matter anyway because we were indoors all day.

Ed: Thanks for handling the countdown for this week :)

Welcome to all the new Cruising Castaways! Welcome Aboard :boat:

A hug :grouphug: for all of my old friends, too.

Terry not a problem, welcome home.

Well today I got to thinking, I have about another 102 days before we return to Disney for the first time since 1997.
Kept thinking thats still a long time to go,
So I dug our Dept 56 Disney Village out of storgae and set it up for a taste of Disney, and to help build the fun for my dd.

In case your missing Disney too here are a few photos of my Village

Enjoy.

Ed--really enjoyed looking at the Disney Village!!! Of course seeing the Disney Magic on Saturday and knowing I wasn't getting back on her until August of 2006 was quite sickening.

My mom and I arrived back here to my house around 11:30 this morning. We drove until 12:30 last night then stopped and got a few hours sleep and we were back on the road at 8am this morning. I'm so glad that drive is over with. I'm trying to talk my mom into taking the auto train back to Florida. She would exit the train about 30 minutes from where she lives. It's after taking these kind of trips that I'm glad there are flights available to take to and from Florida, LOL!!!

I'll check back later, I still have many messages to check, and I want to get them finished before Angelina arrives home from school.

Just back from our "6" day cruise on the Dawn. Even though we were short a day due to the wave hitting the week before...I can't complain. We had beautiful weather & the capt'n decided to skip Miami & go to their private island Great Stirrup Cay. I'm glad because we can do Miami anytime but I really wanted a beatiful Bahama Beach day & we got it! This is our second time sailing her & she is a beauty. I especially love the choice of 10 restaurants & eating anytime we wish. The staff is great, the food is good & the mini-suite is very similar to a cat. 6, but when I saw the Wonder pull in next to us in Nassau....I was really homesick for the Magic! Of course any cruise is better than a day on land! When I got home yesterday I couldn't believe I had to make my own cup of tea! Reality stinks!!!

Andy: hope your 50th was grand! Loved the pics!!

Sue: enjoy your weekend with the girls!

Terry: glad you had fun in NJ!

Welcome new cruisers!

Hi to everyone else!

Diane

Andy: I'm glad you and your mom made the trip back home safely :)

Diane: Welcome home! I'm so glad you had a good cruise. What a shame about that storm and wave that hit the ship. You're right; ANY cruise is better than being at home, but I don't think any other cruise ships compare to the DCL ships :boat:

Diane: Glad you were able to still go on your cruise and you had :sunny: weather. How does the private Island compare to Castaway Cay ? Tina

Hi Diane--glad to hear that you were still able to take your cruise and that you had a nice time!!!

It's back to the real world for me as well, back at work this morning reading those water meters, oh joy!!!!! LOL!!! At least it is a beautiful :sunny: day, with temps going up to 70 degrees today!!!

yesterday I tried to book the FOrt WIlderness Cabins for our Spring Break trip March 2006... I couldnt book it!!! To far in advance they say!!! Bah Hum Bug... dont they know that DVCers and Cruisers like to book EARLY!!!!

Today I am calling for the golf cart rental.... And I might make Hoop Dee doo reservations...

All of this is to try to take my mind of the Repo cruise we were going to take (leaving in two weeks... I am sooooo heart broken)

I am bumming badly.

Cool, chilly day here... but at least the sun is out.

Honestly Tina there is no comparison. Don't get me wrong, I love going to the beach & just about any beach will do, but Great Stirrup Cay does not hold a candle to Castaway Cay and I'll tell you why. First it's very small. Everyone crowds onto a little strip of sand. You have to take tenders over & that requires standing in line for tender tickets. We opted to wait until noon time when the called "on your own service". By then there was no wait for tenders & we headed over to an area that was relatively quiet, with plenty of chairs, but also a bit rocky. When we walked down the cement walk-way, it was covered in sand & debris & I said to my DH, "if this was Disney, this walk-way would be painted & swept clean". They do have a barbeque, band, bars, shops, but only one bathroom (it was big but a pain to walk to). There is word that they have sand fleas & although I never saw any, we did end up with a few tiny bites.

Diane

Diane: Great description Thank you. That will take care of the curosity I had. I wouldn't like having to tender just to get there. Your right at least it was a beach and you had :sunny: weather. Tina

Hi Guys

Just had to log on and tell you that I booked my flights today, for this cruise, got a great deal as they only came out this week, we fly into Orlando on August 17th 2006, we will spend 2 nights in a hotel somewhere(no idea where yet)7 days cruise, then 5 days back on Disney soil somewhere.

They also had premium gold seats available and as we fly out on Vickis 16th birthday and she will have just finished sitting her very importent GCSE exams, I thought it would be rude not to book them, would,nt it. :rotfl2:

I cant believe I now have almost everything sorted, and that's before I go to WDW this year, Yippee, can you tell how excited I am.

Time for a little boogie I think. :cool1:   :cool1:

Speak soon

Sue
