My husband and I are real food lovers. I already booked the DDXP and made a list of ADR ‘s.

In one way ore the other I'm always short of credits.:lmao:

While I was looking at my ADR list and trying to figure out what was the best way to spend our credits my husband looked over my shoulder and said :’stop that and just book V@A”. :thumbsup2

So please tell me difference between a “normal “ table and the “chef’s “ table.
Is there a huge difference between the menus and prices?

You do realize that you can't use dining plan credits at V&A. They accept the premium and platinum plans but not DDP or DXDP.

Chefs table is an exclusive booking. You sit at a table just off the kitchen. You watch the chefs prepare everything. They will come and talk to you about the food. You get to sample a great many things from the menu. There's only one seating nightly and it's not offered every night of the week.

The main dining room is classy and quieter. You choose your courses from the menu for the night.

Price for the main dining room is $125 per person, $60 additional for wine pairings. It's a six-course meal. There are upcharges for some premium items (Kobe beef, Iranian caviar, etc)

Price for Chef's Table is $165 per person, $70 additional for wine pairings. It's a nine to ten course meal. No upcharges.

Thank you for the quick answer.

I know V&A are not on the DP.

That's why me husband told me to book V&A. He knew it would spare me two credits to spend on another evening.

I suppose he got kind of worried seeing me reading all the restaurant reviews for hours and shoving my credits around. :surfweb:

He thought he saw steam coming out of my ears.:lmao:

If your husband is willing to book V&A - then I'd definitely go for it!!

The main dining room is more romantic and the Chef's Table is more of a culinary experience.

I believe that you can (for an up charge) order the chefs table meal to be served in the dining room. We haven't done that so I am not sure how much the up charge is for that.

For a comparison, here is a menu (without listing the wines) from July of this year and here is a (very strange) review of the CT from a couple of years ago with photos of all the food. Basically CT gets almost everything on the day's menu, including the extra cost items.

My wife and I went a few years ago for the first time and we did the chef's table, it was just really, really nice. We love food ourselves and enjoyed the experience in the kitchen with talking with Scott the head chef and everything else. We do plan on eating there again and the chef's table would be great but we know what it is like already and may opt for the more romantic side. If you love food I say go ahead and book it, the best food experience by far at Disney.

There is a difference in time also--main room takes 2 to 2 and a half hours. Chefs table easily 3 to 3 and a half hours.
