I just wanted to check this to be sure - if someone needs to call my UK mobile whilst I'm in the US, whether they are on a cell or landline in the US, do they have to dial +44 7834 etc?

I don't want to wait until we get out there, in case that's wrong.

Thanks!

Yes use the +44 7834... for calling from a mobile phone and 011 44 7834... for calling from a US landline.

NO !!! If someone is calling you they just dial the mobile no (assuming they are in the UK)...

If you're not in the UK and want to dial a UK mobile its +44 first etc.

Beware though - it costs a shedload to recieve calls from the UK whilst in the US. Basically, the caller pays they normal mobile cost but you pay the international part...

Kristie was asking about calling from a US mobile or Landline to a UK mobile hence my answer is as it was, obviously if calling a UK mobile from UK it would be as normal or you can use the +44. All my numbers are stored as +44 in my mobile so I don't have to remember when away to add the +44.

Thanks both - I just need to give a contact number to our wedding vendors, and wanted to make sure I give the right one. Glad I checked, as I didn't realise it would be different for calling from a mobile or landline. Cheers :sunny:

Just have to phone the number nothing in front but beware of the charges. Someone phoned me last week not realising i was in Florida i just managed to say i am in America it will cost you a fortune and both say bye this cost me over £2.
