Called to book Soarin' Around the World Member Tour at DL

Called to book Soarin' Around the World Member Tour at DL today but was told that since it is a DL event, it is subject to the 60 day booking window. Is that the norm for DL events? I would hate to miss out if that was not correct.

The weird thing is there is not so I called today to ask and they said today was the first day it opened up but the CM had a hard time finding it so she asked someone else. That's when she came back to say that since it is at DL, it doesn't open up the booking window until 60 days out. I agree. I'm heading there in August and would love to lock down a reservation if I could.

It's not too surprising that it's 60 days for that location.

Seems like someone has finally been hearing that the DVC offerings at DL were pretty paltry compared to WDW. And, I also thought with the new restrictions they placed that they would need to up the game everywhere for DVC member events. It's not a great selling point to buy direct if they only had the few periodic events now that was more the norm.

Cool ... I hope this is offered through August and beyond. My SoCal APs are blocked for all of July and most of August. We'd REALLY enjoy this offering!

I either totally missed that when I was looking at it earlier today or they added it lol. Either way, both CMs I talked to (one phone/one chat) said the same thing and said 60 days out but that the booking started today. Unless they actually meant it was announced today and we all just miscommunicated to each other. I will give them a call again on the 24th and see what happens.

Nope, it's 60 days. And they even have some things that are 30 days. It's great!

I think I'll try on the 24th also. The 28th will be 60 days for us for July 27. It may be that they start taking them on the 24th for 60 days max so they would take reservations through July 20 only that day.

That looks so cool! It's about time they bring more DVC events to us at DL! I might try to book that first tour, even though DH will be out of town travelling.

Their computer system was down all day (again) so I couldn't get through on the phone even though I didn't need to make a room reservation. I'll try again tomorrow.

I couldn't book July 27 today. The CM couldn't tell if that was because it was limited to 60 days or if it was sold out. So, I'll try again on the 28th.

I called when MS opened but it was booked up. There are only 20 spots each week. I hope everybody else has better luck!
