Called to book last minute room

We are staying at SSR using DP's 5/30-6/6 after our Disney cruise. we got to thinking today:


DH and I were thinking about making our reservation at a hotel near his parents house for the 2 nights before the cruise. I really do NOT like the hotel too much. We only stay for the closeness to his family.

It hit me today that we have leftover developer points to use by Oct 3rd. We need 38 pts, and we have exactly 38 points. I called MS today to book it, and they only have the Friday night available, so we took that!

We are paying cash to stay at Pop Century the night before. We won't get in until late anyways. This will save us money$$$$ on our trip by using our DP's to stay at SSR. We won't be doing Disney then, we will be visiting family in Orlando. We just wanted a way to save money and stay in a comfortable room...LOL I'll be calling back to see if May 21st opens up before we leave!!

What do you think the chances of that Thursday opening up are??? We tried to use our regular DVC points, but we own at BLT, and since it doesn't open until August 4th we can't use those points.

There is always a chance since we are still outside the 31 day cancellation window. Hope things open up for you!

It is so nice owning DVC and knowing that you have options. Even though we paid for it upfront, it just seems different not having to come up with that money all the time!!!
