Called for a quote

I just called Universal Orlando for a quote for our trip in Oct.Her quote was $28 more than online.It was $200 cheaper last year..She also said i had to put a deposit down by July 14 then the rest had to be paid in full by Aug.24.I thought i read on here you don't have to pay the rest till you get there or when you check out.

It sounds like you called Universal Vacations instead of Universal Hotels Reservation number. Was the number you called 1-888-464-3617? I got that number from the Universal Hotel booking website.

With a room only reservation, the remaining balance due is paid at check-out when calling the Universal Hotels Reservation. With Universal Vacations, your reservation is treated as a package, requiring to be paid-in-full in advance and probably has restrictions on cancellations and refunds.

I think you called Universal Vacations as well. I usually just call 1-866-563-9792 and they transfer you to the Universal Orlando reservations centre.
